I love Ariana she's so outspoken and speaks out on issues that need to be addressed. Lauren and her need to get together (as friends) them together could totally make a difference. Okay anyway I'm sorry for taking so long idk why I say I'm gonna update at a certain time when most of this is written in the moment.
This is inspired by the first scene in "Blended" one of my fave movies

"I can't believe I let you talk me into this Dinah" Camila angrily whispers into the phone pacing along the bathroom floor
"Oh shush Walz you haven't been on a date since Austin and that was years ago. You're gonna be an old cat lady" Dinah jokes but is slightly concerned it might be a possibility.....
"Ughhhh well I have to go now I've been in here too long already she might-"
"Think you're taking a massive shit? Yeah she probably is you've been in there for 15 minutes"
Camila rolls her eyes and hangs up when she hears Dinah laugh, checking her outfit once more and leaves back to the booth
Lauren is sitting there watching football in one of the TVs above their booth she was concerned about Camila but then they brought their food so she focused on that instead
Camila comes back to the booth and sits in front of Lauren and rolls her eyes when Lauren doesn't even look at her
"I got you some hot wings and fries I didn't know what you'd want and the waitress already came by" Lauren states nervously glancing at Camila then redirecting her gaze to the table
Camila smiles adoringly okay Lauren's cute she'll give her that
"Thank you I hope they aren't too hot" Camila chuckles as she grabs a hot wing
Laurens eyes widen and before she can warn Camila she's already biting into it
"AAAHHH" Camila screams as she spits it out she goes to grab her beer and tries to pour it in her mouth realizing it's empty she glares at Lauren "Did you drink my beer?!"
Lauren shrugs meekly "You took too long in the bathroom"
Camila's glaring doesn't falter as she takes Lauren's water "I'm curious why did your girlfriend leave you? Seeing as you're such a catch" she asks sarcastically
Laurens face falls ".....she had cancer"
Camila feels guilt bubble up but before she can apologize 3 waitresses come up with their gazes trained on Lauren
"Hey Laur, we brought you mozzarella sticks" Ally beams and puts a basket of them on the table
"Yeah they're in a shape of a heart so you know Ally did it" Normani, Lauren's best friend says chuckling when Ally smacks her arm
"We made them especially for you Laur" the third waitress Bubbles flirts
Camila rolls her eyes as Lauren thanks them all sweetly watching as Bubbles bends down purposely at another booth
Camila angrily grabs another hot wing biting into it without thinking and immediately spits it out
"BOOBLES! I need water" she exclaims as Lauren giggles cutely making Camila smile slightly and face her
Lauren hands over her water again "You can have it seems like you need it more than me" she chuckles
Camila smiles gratefully and chugs the water once she's done she asks "Seriously, why'd you bring me to Hooters of all places?" Frowning a bit as she sees Lauren's face fall again
Lauren redirects her gaze to the table and shrugs "Good food" she mumbles
Camila knows she's lying but won't push it she knows her boundaries they don't know each other that well yet
"Well Lauren what do you say we order some more food that won't burn my mouth and get to know each other better?" Camila questions sweetly
Lauren's head snaps up "Really? You'd wanna get to know me?" She asks shocked
"I'd be honored beautiful. I admit this wasn't how I planned this to go but you seem like a good person so why not? And plus you got us free mozzarella sticks " Camila winks
Lauren blushes "I uh I didn't plan that but do you wanna borrow my jacket? You got hot sauce on your shirt" she asks as she takes off her jacket and before Camila can politely refuse Lauren is already out of the booth putting it around her shoulders
Camila blushes and puts it on fully mumbling a "thank you" because the jacket smells amazing and Lauren being this considerate has her flustered
Lauren sits back in her side satisfied with Camila's reaction and leans forward on the table
"So, what does the amazing Camila Cabello do for fun?" She questions curiously
Camila excitedly answers "I write music. I'm not like a professional or anything but when I'm writing I feel free and like I can express myself. It's my escape"
Lauren smiles fondly "That's amazing I'm sure your music is outstanding"
The night goes on Camila finds out Lauren is an incredibly deep person with a love for The 1975 and is low key a cuddly puppy Lauren finds out Camila is such a passionate person with a love for One Direction and must be protected at all costs
As Camila walks Lauren to her car she's shaking with nerves she about to ask Lauren for her number she's never asked someone for their number
Lauren is going on about how society needs to change and realize that love is what can change the world and we'll never get by with hate. Camila is falling for her already but can you blame her? She's Lauren Jauregui
Once their at Laurens car Camila says "I had an amazing time Lauren, while I admit I wasn't fond of the date at first you pleasantly surprised me" beaming when Lauren giggles
"Same here Camz, so how about a second date? I promise no spicy food this time" Lauren says jokingly receiving a playful shove
"It's a date Jauregui.....so um can I get your number? You know so we can set up this second date" Camila asks nervously playing with her fingers until Lauren puts her phone in her hand
"Put your number in my phone babe" Lauren says smoothly giggling when Camila blushes and types her number in, handing it back.
"Good night camz" Lauren says and kisses Camila's cheek then gets in her car, driving away leaving a shocked and slightly lovestruck Camila behind
Camila's hand reaches up touching the spot where Lauren kissed and sighs dreamily "What has this girl done to me?" She mumbles walking to her car that is only a few feet away with a smile on her face
