Camila doesn't know if she's ever felt more alone than she has since she started high school. You see Camila isn't exactly the most outgoing person her anxiety being the reason why. Which is exactly why she hates school, being around a bunch of loud teenagers all day isn't too appealing to her. Not to mention they treat her like she doesn't exist, they'll walk right past her without a glance.
She's sitting in math class listening to her teacher go on and on. This is the only class she doesn't care about because she's never understood math. She was pretending to write down notes when the door opens and her breath hitches. There stands the most beautiful girl she's ever seen. She has shoulder length raven hair, bright emerald eyes and pale skin
Lauren walks up to the teacher and hands him the note the principal gave her
"Ah everyone listen up! We have a new student joining us today, why don't you introduce yourself sweetie?" Ms.Watson addresses her class
"Hi, I'm Lauren Jauregui" Lauren introduces confidently. "Oh my god her voice is so attractive" Camila thinks
There's hoots and hollers until Ms.Watson glares at them
"Well, it's a pleasure to have you here Ms.Jauregui, take a seat by Camila. Camila raise your hand please" Ms.Watson asks and turns back to the whiteboard
Camila snaps out of her daze and raises her hand getting more nervous as she sees Lauren come towards her
Lauren sits down at the desk next to her and turns to face her and smiles cutely making Camila's heart flutter and she smiles back. Lauren starts taking out her stuff and Camila can't keep her eyes off her once Lauren puts her binder on her desk she notices Camila's stare and smiles at her again. Camila feels like a creep so she smiles hesitantly and turns back to the teacher making Lauren chuckle and the sound makes Camila's a little turned on she's not gonna lie
After about half an hour and shared glances class ended. Everyone leaves to go to the cafeteria for lunch. Camila makes her way to the cafeteria after getting bumped into about 5 times, gets her lunch and sits at her table...alone. Well that is until she hears that amazing raspy voice again
"Hey, mind if I sit here?" Lauren asks shyly Camila doesn't reply at first making Lauren regret asking "You know what nev-" she gets cut off with Camila responding quickly
"No, no I don't mind have a seat" Camila hastily responds
Lauren smiles and sits across from Camila who is still staring
"What?" Lauren asks with a smile while opening her chocolate milk
Camila shakes her head and looks down making Lauren frown
"So, do you have any idea what we did in math? I really don't understand it" Lauren jokes but she actually means it
Camila looks up and giggles making Lauren smile and says "I'm more lost than you are. Math is my worst subject"
"What's your best?" Lauren questions then takes a bite of her PB&J sandwich
"English, what about you?" Camila asks now done with her pizza
"Same, I love literature" Lauren beams and Camila smiles she already likes Lauren. She actually pays attention to her but she frowns slightly when she remembered that nobody usually likes her because she's weird. Lauren notices her mood change
"What's wrong?"she asks concerned placing he hand on top of Camila's
Camila just shakes her head
"You can tell me" Lauren whispers reassuringly
Camila makes eyes contact and asks "Why are you talking to me?"
Lauren frowns "Because I want to, you're the only one that I feel comfortable around. I know we don't know each other but I feel like I can be myself around you" Lauren smiles when she sees Camila's eyes light up
They spend the rest of lunch talking like they've known each other forever. Camila made Lauren laugh so hard she cried and now Laurens laugh is her new favorite sound she sounds like a baby. They found out they both have English next so they head towards Mrs.Bailey's class
After Lauren got introduced once again she made her way to sit next to Camila. She doesn't know why but she feels drawn to her. Camila told her people don't really talk to her and she doesn't understand why, she thinks Camila is amazing. She might have a crush on her and she barely met her a couple hours ago. Although she's sad they can't talk in this class because the teacher is very strict it gives her time to think
Camila is thinking also she barely met Lauren today and she's already made her feel special. She actually pays attention to her and laughs at her jokes. Lauren is special she can tell
They're both lost in their thoughts then they realize they're suppose to be reading so they do. Before they know it the bell rings signifying the day ending.
"Hey, do you want to come over to my house? We could order pizza and just watch movies" Lauren asks hopefully nervously biting her bottom lip which distracted Camila momentarily but then she registers Lauren's words in her head and she nods excitedly
"I'd love to I've never been to a friends house" she says excitedly, grabbing Lauren's hand and dragging her outside she doesn't see Lauren frown
Lauren catches up "slow down cutie you don't even know which car is mine" she giggles when she sees Camila blush
They make it to Lauren's black jeep and start driving to her house blasting One Direction per Camila's request.
Once they make it to Lauren's house they settle in the living room on the couch. The pizza is already gone and now they're jus cuddling watching Lilo And Stitch. Lauren's head is on Camila's chest and Camila's wondering if she can hear her heart beating erratically. Suddenly, Lauren speaks up
"Camz?" She questions softly
"Yeah?" Camila responds and starts running her fingers through Lauren's soft hair
"Will you go on a date with me?" Lauren asks nervously
Camila halts her hand and she swears she can feel her heart stopping
"You...you want to go out with me?" She asks shocked Lauren sits up and looks at her
"Of course I really like you Camzi you're really amazing and I love hanging out with you. I know we've only known each other one day but I feel like we have a connection. I would be honored to take you on a date" Lauren rambles sweetly but that quickly changes and her face falls when she sees a tear leave Camila's eye. She brings her hand up to Camila's face and wipes the tear with her thumb "What's wrong?"
Camila leans into the contact putting her hand over Lauren's "I didn't think anybody noticed me" she trembles
Lauren rubs her thumb along Camila's cheek and smiles softly "I noticed you" we whispered and Camila tackles her in a hug
"Yes! I'd love to go out with you" Camila exclaimed happily squeezing Lauren's waist and burying her face in Lauren's neck
Lauren smiles and wraps her arms around Camila's neck and runs her fingers through her hair
"I'll always notice you" she whispers lovingly kissing Camila's head making Camila from widely
