"Sarah's inspiration above"

(Damian POV)-

Sebastian picked Raven off the floor and carried her to safety. Sara tried to push past me to reach them, but I pushed her back against the battered wall. "You will get what's coming to you, Damian. Why delay the inevitable?" I growled and punched the wall inches from her head and she flinched.

When she looked at the new crater, she laughed. "Damian, Damian, Damian. You wouldn't hurt a fly, never less your oldest sister." I heard the clicking of heels storming against the marble floor, and fear crossed Sarah's eyes.

"And what in Hell's name do you think you're doing in my house, Sarah Grace Athena?" Sarah shuttered and I laughed at the fact that Rose called her by her full name. Rose came up beside us and she grabbed Sarah's ear like a mother disciplining her child.

I dropped Sara and Rose pulled her to the center of the library. "And who do you think you are, pulling my ear like that?! I am not a child!" Rose frowned and Sarah shut her mouth quickly.

"You may not be a child, but you sure are acting like one showing your face here uninvited trying to snatch familiars like a frog would flies from a window." Sarah frowned and tried to say something, but Rose glared at her menacingly. Even though she didn't look it, she was only two years younger than Sarah, who was three-hundred. You do the math.

"What do you want here?" Sarah smirked as she looked at me, "Just making sure little Damian acts like a good little boy. Why be rash while he's the one who should be punished for disobeying the Council?" Rose looked at me with squinted eyes.

"Damian, I warned you about this, remember? I told you that involving Raven will get you both in trouble, and now a point had to be made in order for you to see it." I glared at her as she turned back to Sara who watched me carefully.

Rose snatched her chin to face her, "Sarah, I don't want to see your face in my home ever again, do you understand me? And you will say nothing about Damian and the girl. He's getting rid of her as soon as this is over."

Sarah's shocked expression matched mine, but she nodded in defeat. "Good. Now leave." Rose released the shaken girl who stood over her by at least four feet, and watched as Sarah left through the portal.

"What do you mean 'getting rid of her'? You know we can't do that. She knows too much and not to mention she's already my familiar. She'd have to die either way, and I'm not going to let that happen again." Rose just gave me a glance before leaving the library.

I slumped to the marble floor and watched silently as pieces of Onyx and wood began to find their places in the walls and door. Even though the walls mended together, my heart didn't.

Rose was right. I've created another Lauren where she doesn't belong or is wanted, and I waited too long to realize it. I've placed Raven in her place, and now she's in danger just as Lauren was. I should have just left her alone.

As I was thinking, the newly formed door opened revealing Jack. "Of all thing holy, Jack! What do you want?" He came to my side and grabbed my forearm firmly to pull me to my feet. "Master Damian, Mistress Sarah Athena has broken Raven's wrist. Sebastian and I have reset the bones."

I nodded and inside, I was on fire from the rage I had towards Sarah Athena.
