Sorry this took so long, I'm a multitasker and I put WAY too many stories on my plate. Anyways, here ya go and don't forget to comment and vote!------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
As usual, I woke up early with someone standing over me. Damian. "Wakey, wakey, little familiar." I groaned and painfully slid out of bed. "Sore?" I nodded and began to go to the bathroom when he grabbed my arm. "I can fix that if you want?" I shook my head and shrugged out of his grasp, and when I peeked out of the bathroom door, he looked hurt.
After my shower, I pulled on a comfortable, black jogging suit, left the bathroom and into an empty bedroom. I sat on the edge of the bed and thought about the day before. Frog people, giant claws coming out of my hand, tattoos, almost-flying. Insane.
I drug myself out of the room and found my way down the familiar hall to go to the kitchen, but when I found where the door usually was, I instead found myself at a dead-end. "You have got to be kidding me!"
I punched the wall out of frustration, "You seem to be lost, Raven." I turned with a blush and found Sebastian smiling at me with his hands neatly in his pockets. "I was looking for-" He nodded, "The kitchen? It moved a hallway over. I was on my way to tell you, but it looks like I was late."
I smiled and he held his arm out to point in the direction of the kitchen. I left the current hallway and found the kitchen exactly where he said it was. A hall over. Standing outside the door, I could already smell the bacon, and it was all the motivation I needed to enter.
"Good morning, Raven!" Rose smiled at me from the table and Damian ignored me as usual to eat his pancakes. I rolled my eyes and grabbed the steaming plate from Jack and took my seat at the bar with Sebastian. "Sleep well, did we?" I yawned ignoring his question. I was still exhausted from yesterday's activities, and honestly, my calves are still sore.
"Fine then. In other news, you get to spend the day with Sebastian and Rose today. They'll teach you what you need to know to avoid the outside world and speak proper Reaper." I smiled a little, "Proper "Reaper"?" He nodded curtly as he scooped a pile of eggs onto a plate before setting it in front of me.
As I devoured my eggs, I felt a strange chill take over my entire left side. I looked beside me to see Damian staring me down with his familiar scowl. "May I help you?" His frown furrowed, "Actually, you can. There's a gate opening up in ten minutes, and I need you to help get the Strays through."
Okay, not what I was expecting at all. "Ummm...Strays?" He huffed in aggravation, "Souls." He ruffled his ebony hair and left the kitchen. I handed Jack my plate, and I heard the door squeak open revealing Damian's head peering at me with a commanding look. "Are you coming, Familiar? I don't have all day." As his head disappeared, I could have sworn I had seen a smirk on his face at my obvious anger.
Jack chuckled as he straightened his shamrock tie, "Better get going, he doesn't like to wait too long." I flicked him off making him smile before leaving out the kitchen finding Damian leaning against the wall staring at the portrait of the group of people sitting at a table. If eyes could kill, the painting would have caught fire and exploded at his expression.
He caught me looking and he nonchalantly looked away from the portrait. "Is that what you're wearing?" I looked down at my suit and shrugged, "Yes?" He laughed, "Follow me, you need something more...fitting."
