The two soldiers she had chosen were both honored to be allowed to greet the Queen in her court, but they had no idea what they would be doing.

The first soldier that the Queen had chosen was her most trustworthy son, named Benjamin, he was kind and gentle, and the Queen knew that he would gather the materials honestly and would make sure that they arrived safely.

The second solider that the Queen chose was the strongest knight of all the war men. His name was Alexander, and the Queen knew that he would be swift in getting the materials, and he was strong enough to survive the journey while keeping both of them alive.

Once the two had been gathered in the court, the Queen started to explain why she had called upon them.

"As you both know, the King is very ill. To the point of death in fact. I have called upon many a doctor, and finally one has been able to help my poor husband. He has given me a list of ingredients to fetch for the cure. I have a kingdom to run though, so I have decided to send you two out to gather them for me." The Queen said in a large voice. "To prepare you for the journey I have given you these items. A list of things to fetch, a bag of food, a jug of water, three blankets, medicine, and a few other small items."

The Queen held out the bag, and Alexander took it, looking through the items fondly.

"You have twenty-five moons time. I suggest that you get started now."

The two boys bowed down and thanked the Queen for the opportunity before leaving the court and getting a headstart into the woods. Benjamin was the first to speak.

"So what's on that list? We should probably know what's on it." He said.

Alexander rolled his eyes and pulled out the list. It read a short list, but a challenging one.

-Chipmunk Skin
-Leaves From an Old Oak
-An Item Representing Love

"Well the first two seem easy enough, but what about the third one? Any ideas Alex?" Benjamin asked.

"Shut up kid. We both know that you're just here because you're a mama's boy that she could risk losing. Just get out of my way and let me handle it." Alexander snapped.

Benjamin looked hurt, he didn't understand why Alexander was already mad at him.

"I went through training just like you did to become a solider. I don't know why you're mad at me already, but we need to work together." Benjamin said softly.

Alexander sighed and rolled his eyes again, before stalking off into the woods, leaving Benjamin running behind him to keep up.
