Benjamin sat puzzled for a few more seconds, then jumped up to chase after Alexander.

He ran out into the cold night air that seemed to nip at him angrily.

The darkness surrounded him, and his worry quickly set in

Benjamin tried to comprehend the situation, but he needed to find Alexander, and that was the only thing he could focus on.

He sped around trees and jumped over hills, screaming Benjamin's name and frantically moving around shrubbery and other messy, overgrown plants.

He finally turned a sharp corner and saw Alexander's boot sticking out from underneath a tree.

Benjamin ran as fast as he could over to it, only to be frozen in shock once more.

Alexander was crying. Not just crying though, sobbing. His entire face was crumpled and he looked as though someone had taken away everything he ever cared about.

Benjamin's heart completely smashed.

Alexander slowly looked up at Benjamin, and Benjamin could almost see him shove down his feelings of love and replace it with anger.

"You can say it." Alexander hissed. "You can say that you don't love me back. I'm sorry I've ruined our friendship and the trip."

Alexander looked at Benjamin only for a few more seconds before his face involuntary crumbled again and Benjamin's heart breaking snapped him out of his trance.

Benjamin lunged forward and and took Alexander in his arms.

Alexander stiffened, before melting into Benjamins arms, unable to keep up his bad boy persona.

"I can't say any of those things." Benjamin said softly as Alexander wrapped around him. "I like you too much."

Alexander started crying harder, and for a second Benjamin felt terrified he had said the wrong thing, until Alexander looked him in the eyes.

Alexander was smiling, and Benjamin got even further confirmation that Alexander was happy with his response when Alexander softly connected their lips, and Benjamin could feel him smiling through their kiss.
