Macie closed the folded handwritten note, tucked it back into the cream color envelope. Then turned around

Shawn's pov 

I've been trying to get Macie to answer my calls and text. I just miss hearing her cute little voice that always brights up my day. The truth is... I Love Macie and I just can't let these little things, Slip out of my mouth, I'm scared she will leave me. But here goes nothing.

I strummed the last cord, letting it linger for a bit. 

"Macie? Baby girl." I said sniffling. She wipes her tears that were streaming down her beautiful eyes. I smiled slightly and so did she. 

I walked towards her and slipped my Black & Blue Plaid flannel around her shoulders.

"I Love You, and i'm so sorry." 

She smiled slightly and sniffled.

"Baby girl... I'm really sorry i didn't tell you sooner. I've just been really stressed and i was scared that once i told you would leave. And that's my most biggest fear, right next to deep water, mean people and tomatoes." I wrapped my arms around her waist and so did she ( around the torso), and pulled her closer to me.

"I-I thought I lost you." She whispered. I kissed her forehead, "No Baby. You didn't lose me. I made a promise that i wouldn't leave and i'm keeping that promise. I love you so very much and i promise it'll never happen again." I said wiping her tears,  as she did the same with mine.

"I Love you." She said smiling. 

I took her hand in mine and held it tight, not letting her go. We Made our way to the hammock and i gracefully took the tiny navy blue box and handed it to her. 

She slowly opened the box and gasped. It's a gold tiny heart shaped necklace, with both of our initials engraved in cursive on the back with the date i asked her out, in the middle of the two initials. 

"Shall we lay under the stars." 

She giggled.

"Yes. Yes, we shall."
