Found and Lost

Chapter 19: Family

Testing was over, and Checo, Sara and Angie took some days to go back to Mexico to visit their families They spent a couple of days with Sara's family and then they went to meet Checo's new niece.

-"Can I play with her'"- Angie asked to her uncle.

-"No yet, she's not enough old to play like you. But she'll be in a while!- he said. The girl looked disappointed. Then, she had the chance to have the weeks old baby girl in her arms, for a couple of minutes.

-"Seems she's ready to be a big sister"- Sara's sister in law said. Both Checo and Sara looked odd at each other.

-"Someday..."- Sara said to herself.

In Melbourne, a few days later...

-"Daddy, where do the babies come from?"- Angie asked to Checo, while they're in the swimming pool of their hotel. The driver got nervous and started to think quickly in proper answer for a 4 year old girl.

-"Well... they come from the stork."- He said. The girl wasn't too convinced.

-"How?"- Angie asked.

-"Hmm... the parents ask for a baby and they usually get one"- He said. Sara was listening to the conversation, standing a few meters away of them. She had to hold on a laugh.

-"Who wants to go to the beach?"- Sara finally got closer to them. Then her daughter got out of the swimming pool as fast as she could and went with her mom to the beach.

-"No doubt that girl drives you crazy, mate"- The Hulk said to his now colleague, laughing.

-"Just wait until you have kids"- he responded, laughing.

The next day, they went to the zoo...

-"The koalas are my faves so far"- the lil girl said to her mom. So far, they've seen monkeys, giraffes, bears, elephants, koalas, kangaroos, tigers and lions. They're on their way to the birds. She stood there, admiring them. -"Stork, if you're here, can you bring me a sister?"-. she said in a low voice, but Checo could hear her. He was surprised.

Later that day...

-"Did you heard what she said in the zoo?"- Checo asked Sara, while she was getting ready to join him in the bed.

-"What she said? Does she wants a koala for her birthday?"- she asked.

-"No... she asked to the stork to bring her a sister..."- he said. Sara was speechless.

-"Really? I don't think it's a good idea. I don't want to destroy your career and your dream of becoming a champion..."- she said, Checo stood up.

-"Listen, having a kid is going to give me an extra boost."- he said.

-"And I don't want to be abandoned with a child, again"- she continued.

-"So you don't trust me?! Do you think I'm going to be like him?!"- Checo said, upset.

-"It's not what I said.."- she tried to explain..

-"If he did that, that doesn't mean we all men are going to do the same!"- he said upset and went out of the room. Sara stayed in their room, regretting of what she said.

The next morning...

-"Sorry for what I said"- Sara said to Checo, before they were going out to the track.

-"Let's talk about it in the night, ok?"- he said, kissing her forehead.

Checo focused on his track walk and media duties while Sara took some pictures and made some wallpapers. After the day was over, they went back to the hotel, had dinner and prepared for the next day.

-"Sorry for what I said the other day, hun, it's just that I still..."- Sara said to Checo.

"Fears?"- he asked and she nodded. -"Trust me, I wont do that. Family is first for me."- He said and kissed her.
