Her washed eyes drowned. Her hair bored with grayness. She felt nothing. Only a sucking hole clutched her stomach and her throat. Forcing and consciously yelling, "whore, slut, hoe."
She had no effort to defend by her words and her own body."I feel like shit.." She croaked.
Hilda screamed in her pillow.
"Why?! You stupid idiot, soo fucking stupid."
Her beachy blonde hair scattered the dark bedset. Wearing gray camo leggings and a plain blue shirt."Hilda!" Her mother called in a sweet and sober voice.
"I'm here mother, I'm coming downstairs." She slides down the banister, childlike.
A dark-haired girl stared at her disgusted.
"Gawd your such a kid." She scrunched her face up.
"I get it from my wovey-Dovey sister." She exaggerates. With a smile that had an appearance of a innocent angel. She squeezed her sister tightly in a hug."Uhh.. Get the fuck off me." She freezes in her touch.
"Aww your no fun, I can only baby you when your not acting like a bitch." She teases. She releases her and walks toward her mom.
"Mom," she says entering into the kitchen.
She was making a smoothie.
"Yeah." She replies calmly. She sets the smoothie off and look at her concerned.
"Umm..didn't you call me here." She says sarcastically.
"Oh! Tell me how this tastes!" She pulls a spoon from a drawer and scoops the purplish substance for Hilda to sample.
She tries it eagerly. And immediately rolled her eyes to the back of her head. "What is this, kiwi and-"
"Grapes. Yup!" She smiles happily.
"Nicki, I'm going out." The dark-haired girl pronounced proudly.
Wearing short shorts in jean color and a black t-shirt."Excuse me, My name is mom," Nicki, the "mom", harshly scowls at her and her slightly showy outfit.
"Bye," she runs for an escape from anymore comments she had to say.
Hilda looks at the loud sound the door made than at her mother.
"Jamie is a handful." She ignores the humorous Hilda. Peaceful silence filled the room.
"She reminds me of me, and that's dangerous." Nicki blames herself.
"Noo! Your polar opposites."
Hilda implies."You think i was making healthy smoothie drinks and living sober for the past lifetime?" Nicki questions.
Hilda opens her phone and checks her recent notifications. "Hey! I know my own mother!" She speaks truthfully.
They laugh. The echo of their happiness fades once Hilda's phone goes off.Nicki glances to peek over to see who was calling.
DAD
"Thought of the devil." She whispers.
Hilda gives her a glare."Hey dad, how ya been." She speaks slowly and shaky. Wanting to close her mothers mouth as she blabs off complaining.
"I'm doing fine, baby girl, what about you and your sister?"
"We are fine."
"Yeah, if it's okay with your mother we
can meet up somewhere," Hilda looks up at her mother.Nicki rolls her eyes.
"And ya know we-" Hilda's Dad suddenly stops. "Aric! I told you not to put tha-"
The background fades to Aric's booming voice. "Ok damn Dan, quit whining."
Hilda grows wide-eyes and looks
down sadly and longing."Aric, tell Sid his parents call-" Dans quickly interrupted by a long howl of exhaustion.
"Dad?" She tries to respark there conversation.
"I'm here, dear, so just give me a call and I will, uhh, make plans, okay?"
Dan's voice lessens it's volume.
"Tell your-" Nicki hangs the call up with a press of her finger."MOM!"
"What?! he is annoying."
"Be a responsible, newly divorced, single parent." Hilda points out roughly.
Nicki nods her head in agreement and defeat.
Hilda's fake smile spreads on her face. She still felt empty inside. That same sucking hole drying up her very expressions. But nonetheless she fools everyone.
