"Arik." She said.

"no." My face was numb. His name. His name is everywhere. I can't seem to break free of his name.

She stared at me. She tightened her grip on my shoulder then loosened them.

"Ge-Get off of me." She said quietly.

I quickly got up and pulled her up with me. "What are you doing? You were going to get hurt." I examined her body for any bruises.

"Yea that's the point." She layed against the alley wall and sunk down into a little ball. Sniffling back her tears.

"Hey, you wanna get something to eat." I offered.

She looked slowly at me and forced a smile, "yeah."

I pulled her up by her hand and held her hand with mine.
We were both in pain, so it was natural that we would end up mending our scars.

As we walked towards the nearest fast food restaurant, I spoke little by little to keep a friendly aura.

"We're seniors, shouldn't we be over drama like this." I chuckled a little.

She kept silent.

"I mean, it's as if every student in the school is a cast of some high school movie flick, you'd think we grow up a little and grow out of that movie by now."

She kept her head down, she was staring at our hands that were held tightly together.

We headed into a pizza place and sat near a window in a booth that was soo red my eyes squinted a little.

It was silent for a good second.

"Why?"I asked again.

"Stupid love triangles." She mumbled

"Oh."

"I know its cheesy. I know that. But when you've been with someone for so long and learn and laugh and connect. It's hard to decide to let go. Especially if you believe you have a chance." She puts her head down on her arm.

"Yeah that's right, but wouldn't be easier to let go of all this stress."

She doesn't look at me.

"Lila." I tried to get her attention

"It's Lulu." She said coldly. It's such a weird world, right? All this time I thought she was someone I knew but she was a complete stranger.

She still wasn't looking at me.

"Lulu look at me."

She kept her eyes low. "It's hard too."

"What can I get for the couple?" A girl waiter said with a southern accent.

"We're not-" I paused and looked at her lower her head more.

She doesn't react.

"Never mind, we'll just get a cheeseburger and a milkshake, for two."

"Alrig-" she was interrupted by Lola.

"I'll get ice cream." She said quickly.

"Okay. I'll have it for you in a jiffy." She wrote in her little notepad and walked away.

"I got an idea." She looked out the window.

I eyed her for a minute.

"Maybe we could get to know each other." She looked at me from the side of her eyes.

"I mean if that would help you." I said

"It would." She reached for my hand and I froze.

I flinched back. " I can't do that."

She smirked and looked away.
"Then I'll just hurt myself again. Probably even blame it on someone." She bit her lip.

Why is she acting like this?
"I know your not that kind of person."

"You don't know me." She laughed, " Its amazing how you both look so similar, are you sure you guys aren't twins."

I shook my head no.

"Well that's fine I guess. It sure would be nice if you had his personality. But I'll make due with the appearance of it." She analyzed me.

"You just tried to kill yourself, do you hear what your saying! This is not helping you at all."

Her face grown darker in anger. Then She calmed down. "It would help the both of us, " she played with the forks, "satisfaction wise."

"You don't know what I want and need, like you said we don't know each other."

She looked sad now. "please."

"I've experienced that I can't always get what I want, but I don't force myself to make it happen. Sometimes you let fate decide for you."

"And how long has fate been deciding for you."

I couldn't come up with an answer. She's kind of right I guess. "Never mind that."

"Maybe that's why you can't get her. That's what I'm assuming. It's about a girl right."

"You don't know."

"I probably don't. I just memorize the face he makes when he wants someone else other than me." She sighs, "I'm just saying you could really be a a lifesaver right now, so the choice is yours, not fate."

If I said no, she would just go and hurt herself again. Probably end up with a more deadly result. Besides it's just for her satisfaction. She won't hurt herself or anyone else if she is satisfied. I can help her.

"Fine."

"Great." She smiled.

"Here ya go." The waiter handed us our food.

She glowed up once she saw her ice cream. She tasted it slowly and looked at me.

"It taste so much better." She smirked.
