10| Reunited

Aria's POV

Wednesday

James should be here any minute now. I told him I was going to meet him at the airport.

Many men and women dressed in their uniforms were coming down the escalators, reuniting with their families.

I kept looking until I met James' gaze. I was bursting in tears of excitement.

I ran up to him and gave him a huge hug. "I missed you so much."

He gave me a kiss. "I missed you more."

I released him and helped him with his bags.

"I missed seeing your beautiful face, Aria." He caressed my cheek.

"I missed your face more." I playfully slapped his cheek.

"Tell me everything you did while I was gone on the way to my house. I want to hear everything." He said to me as I got my seatbelt on.

Boy, was he in for the ride of his life.

I told James everything, and I mean everything, that has happened. I told him about my new project and about Janelle. He knew her, but didn't know she was like this.

"I'm going to be leaving to San Francisco this evening. I didn't know if you wanted to come with me."

"With you, I'll go anywhere, sweetheart." I blushed when I heard him say that.

I dropped off James and told him to get settled in and spend time with his family for awhile and I'll make him lunch at my place. He was content that I was cooking for him.

"It was delicious." He pulled me in for a kiss.

I wrapped my hands around his neck and dug my fingers into his soft hair. Our kiss was getting more intense.

His hands went down to my butt and he squeezed it. I giggled and pulled apart. He laughed, too.

"James, I'm scared." I turned away from him.

"There's no need to be afraid."

"You're going to be gone again. My happiness is leaving me."

"Aria, I told you since the beginning that you don't have to wait for me. I would have been okay if you said no to me, but I would also be heartbroken. You're so important to me, Aria." His hands lifted up my face.

"I waited for you because I care so much. I've always wanted for you to be with me because I had a crush on you." I smiled at him.

"Well, you have me now. Are you going to let me go?"

I sighed. "No."

He kissed me and gave me a hug.

Thursday

"Curly!" I spotted his car coming up to pick us up.

"Hey, architect." He smiled.

He opened his trunk and James put our bags in there. I sat in the passenger seat and gave Cain a kiss on the cheek.

James got in the back. "Cain, this is James."

Cain faced James and shook his hand. "Nice to meet you."
