Sams POV.....

I had been looking down on her for 17 years. Seeing her live each day, slowly. Without me. Watching her blossom. Seeing her try and find love again. Having another child. Making memories. Without me. I could still see the hurt and sadness in her eyes as she grew from an amazing girl to a beautiful women. My winter girl. I could remember how we had met as if it had only happened an hour ago.

It wasn't long after my fall. I had done what I had because of her. I had seen her through the clouds crying. Her beauty had torn at my heart and I knew that falling would be worth it. I had done something so depicable that it shouldn't be talked about it. But the problem is I had been stupid about it. I didn't actually know were she was when I fell. So I had searched. After a year of pointless seaching I came up blank.

It was a crisp winter day. The snow had fallen overnight and it created a glistening blanket that made me wish I could feel it. The problem is that the fallen can not feel. It's like all the nerves go dead. I could feel the snow. I had to just imagine and pretend I could feel the cold in my hand. But I couldn't. I walked along where the grass had been in a large park...I forget where now. I hadn't been paying much attention to my where abouts after the year of nothing. I was walking trapped in my own thoughts when I was smacked hard on the front knocking me to the floor. My eyes wide I looked up to see a large golden rechiever standing over me and wagging its tail happily. I sat up dazed it hadn't hurt it was just a shock. A small gasp left my lips.

She was running towards me. Her dirty blonde hair flowing down her back. It was longer than when I had last seen it. Her hazel eyes glistened with tears from the cold. Her nose and soft cheekbones were tinged pink. She was wearing a cute bobble hat and matching scarf with a thick coat, jeans and trainers. I had never seen her so close, so beautiful. She had changed so much but not at all. I thought she would run past me but she ran straight up to me and grabbed the dogs collar.

"I'm so sorry sir, she never acts like this normally." Her voice was soft and entrancing and it was a few minutes before I realised she was stood there looking worried when I didn't answer. I got up and brushed the snow of my backside before answering her.

"It's no problem really. It's most likely the snow thats got her excited." She smiled rainbows at me and I felt my heart rise.

"You are probably right. But let me make it up to you. My parents own a cafe about a 5 minute walk from here. Can I treat you to a hot drink?" I couldn't help the smile that came across my lips. When I did smile I saw her gasp. Her eyes cleared over and she looked at me as if in a daze. I forgot what an angels smile could do, even the fallen.

"I would love a drink thanks." She just kept looking at me then blushed when she realised she was staring. She looked so cute.

"Sorry," She nervously giggled, "I'm Angela by the way..." Angela! After all this time I finally knew her name and it was so fitting. Such a delicate name for her.

"I'm Sam." She smiled at me like she couldn't help it.

"Hello Sam." She laughed and I melted into the snow. I laughed with her. She was right it didn't take long to get  to the cafe and soon we were both sat down with hot chocolates. The cafe was small but nice. It had the cosy factor to it. You could see people would come here on a day like this to relax and have lunch. We were sat on a small table in corner and our chairs were right next to each other. It took everything in me not to just reach over and hold her hand. Instead I focused on my drink. I knew I wouldn't be able to taste it but I would still drink it so she didn't think I was being rude or anything. We sat in silence while we drank. I couldn't take my eyes of her and when she realised I was looking at her she blushed slightly. I couldn't help but look, I had been searching for a year and just when I thought she was nothing but a dream...she appeared.
