Chapter 4-To the next world

Skarlett's POV

''Adrian, are you there'' I called out

''You called me?''

''How do I get to your world?'' I asked

''Good, you have come to your senses. Well, first , you have to go into your father's study, then go to the bookshelf and pull the book called 'Magic and Evil', a secret passage should open then go through there, at the end of the passage there should be a door, go through it and say 'I want to go through the portal to the next world' and you will be warped here, got it?''

''Yeah''

''Good. You will be transported in front of the door to the dungeon, I will be in the cell at the end of the hall, be quick and silent''

I went to my father's study and went to the bookshelf. Now let's see, where is that book. I still haven't found the book, maybe it's right at the bottom because that is the least likely place for it to be. Ah ha! Found it. I pulled it and was shocked that it really opened by itself. I went into the passage and it is super dark, maybe there is a torch here. I am hugging the wall, looking for the torch and ... YES!! Found it, luckily there was a lighter on the floor below it. I lit the torch and continued down the passage till I got to the door. I opened the door to see it was a empty room made of grey, old bricks. Now, what was the words I had to say again? Oh yeah

''I want to go through the portal to the next world'' I called out. Next thing I saw was a blinding light and in front of me I saw a blue swirling vortex kind of thing and stepped through it. I closed my eyes because it was so bright and when I opened them I was shocked to see a door in front of me. I looked around to see that it worked. I followed Adrian's instructions and as quietly as I could I went through the door to the end of the hallway and searched for his cell.

''Hello, Adrian, are you here?'' I whisper shouted. ''Over here'' I looked to my right and was shocked with what I saw it was a boy with short blonde hair and WINGS!? I backed away slowly because I was scared of him. ''It's okay, I wont hurt you, just help me out. Oh and here is my brother Evan." he said to me. "Okay, how do I get you out, is there a key?" I asked looking around." Yeah but you can't get it, you are going to have to use your powers" He said with a chuckle at the end of his sentence. I gulped. "Do you know how to use them?" I just stared at him blankly. "I am going to take that as a no. Ok, I will teach you how to use them but i am only going to teach you the basic for now since we don't have much time before the guards come. First, close your eyes and focus on a source of energy, ok?" I did as he told me and nodded. "Now focus on the lock and put your hands out" I did exactly that and felt a little spark at my fingers. "Now push that energy out at the lock." I did that and heard the air move. I opened my eyes to see the lock covered in silver fire and slowly starting to melt. Once it melted completely, I pulled the gate open and they came out. "Ok, now you have to melt the bars so we can climb out the window over there so we don't get caught trying to escape through the castle door. Now do what I told you earlier and melt the bars" He told me. I closed my eyes and searched for the energy inside me and when I felt the spark at my fingers I brought my hands back and felt the heat in front of me and pushed the energy and my hands out. I opened my eyes to a fireball flying into the bars, melting it instantly. My lips formed a huge smile when I saw what I did. Adrian broke the window and took away the pieces still stuck in the frame and before he climbed out, his wings disappeared, then his brother, Evan climbed out then me. We ran into the forest and when we were deep enough we came to a stop and set up camp.
