Chapter 7- trouble

knock, knock

"Hello, is anyone in there?" Someone said from outside the door. "Who is it?" Penelope called to the door. ''It is the royal guards, we are here because you have sons that are in the dungeon, am I correct?'' He called. Penelope's eyes went wide. ''Coming, just hold on" She called to the door. "You three need to hide quick"  She whispered. Everyone nodded and went off to search for a hiding place. I hid in the closet, Adrian hid under the bed and Evan hid in the bathroom cupboard under the basins. Penelope went to the door and opened it. I am currently looking through the hole in the closet. "What is it that bothers you about my sons" She asked in a defensive voice. "Ma'am, we are here to tell you that your sons have escaped the dungeon. When we went to give them food, the lock on the cell gate was melted and the bars on the windows were melted as well. Do one of your sons know how to use fire magic?" The guard asked. "No, it is impossible for fae to use mage magic, correct?" They nodded. "Then how can the locks be melted? And there is no way someone could've snuck in because the castle is heavily guarded, correct?" They nodded again. "Then how could they escape and nobody was with them so I cant believe that my good boys will ever try to escape because they will accept the consequences of their actions and would've stayed in the dungeon so I cant believe it. Good day sirs" And with that she closed the door as they were about to say something.

When we came out of our hiding places we all started laughing because we all heard Penelope talk to them. "What. What's so funny?" she asked. "W-we all h-heard you speak t-to the guard. You sounded like a old lady" I said between laughter. Seconds later, she started laughing with us.

We are going to stay here for the night and tomorrow we are going in the forest and in the forest there is a open field where Adrian is going to teach me all the different types of magic. I'm so excited. Penelope is in the kitchen making supper and I am helping her. we are making something called fried aurel, which looks like chicken, and vegetables. when the food was done, we set it on the table and called Adrian and Evan. when they came, they sat down and when they saw the food, they were already drooling. This made me chuckle. Adrian looked up and saw me laughing. "What's so funny, Skarlett" He said emphasising my name. ''Oh nothing, just that the floor is basically flooded with all that drool coming from your mouth." As soon as he heard that, he closed his jaws as fast as he could and blushed a bit. Hmm, why was he blushing. Does he like me? I wonder. That would be so cool because I like teasing people and this could open a door for a world of teasingness, if that is even a word.

After supper, they went to their rooms but Evan had to share a room with Adrian so I could take Evan's room for the night. I wonder what he has in his room, I am going to do some exploring in his room.

I am looking around in his closet to see if he has a girlfriend because he could be lying to his brother about him always being with his friends. AHA!! Found something. It is a love letter from a girl. I knew it, I knew it, I knew it. I sang in my head, dancing around. He does have a girlfriend! YES!!! Ok, time to go to bed.

Evan's bed is actually quite comfortable, much like my own bed at home. I stared at the wooden ceiling wondering what tomorrow will bring. I am so excited for tomorrow. I especially cant wait to learn royal magic. I stared at the ceiling for 5 more minutes thinking about tomorrow until eventually I fell asleep
