Eliza POV:

"Carrie come on! Please keep up!" I said grabbing my younger sister's hand and pulling her behind me.

"El I'm tired!" Carrie whined.

"Well if you don't keep up some old guy might kidnap you. So your choice, you can either keep up or end up in a basement." I said.

"I hate when you do that." Carrie said running up and grabbing my hand.

"Well it works." I laughed.

"Look!" Carrie said letting go of my hand and running to a building. I looked up and it was the Broadhurst theatre where Tuck Everlasting was playing, some new musical. I love the book, the musical probably sucks. "I'm dying to see this show."

"Yeah, well no way we can afford tickets. We don't even have enough money for food tonight." I said.

"That's Sarah Charles Lewis! She plays Winnie Foster. She's so beautiful." Carrie said looking at the window with pictures. "I want to be just like her." Carrie said. Carrie was a beautiful girl. Long, blonde hair with curls at the end and the brightest blue eyes you have ever seen. She was an innocent 10 year old and my whole life. She was born when I was 8 and I have pretty much raised her. I don't know what I would do without her. She stared in awe at the pictures. Damn, I just want to give this little girl the world, everything she could ask for. Too bad we can't afford to. And I can't get a job because I have to raise her. My parents have no money and we have to live with my grandmother because we got kicked out of our old house. She doesn't have a lot of money, but enough to pay for the house and for me and Carrie to eat every meal. I hate making her pay for our food, so I pay for as many meals as I can with the money me and Carrie make from performing in the sub station. But today was a rough day.

"Come on, let's keep going. Stay any longer and you will get your hopes up about tickets.

"This show just looks so magical." Carrie smiled. "I would give anything to meet Sarah Charles Lewis."

"Come on Carrie." I said. She turned to grab my hand and suddenly her face lit up.

"ELIZA! THATS HER! THATS SARAH!" Carrie screamed.

"Yeah, sure. And there's Obama behind her." I laughed. I looked and sure enough, the little 11 year old from the pictures was walking towards us. "Well I'll be damned." Carrie ran up to her and started talking to her. I stopped and leaned against a door while they talked. This could take awhile. I looked down at my phone. My grandmother just bought me an iPhone and I couldn't be more thankful. Sarah must be coming to do the show for tonight.

"Excuse me." I heard a voice say. I looked up and a guy was standing right in front of me.

"Oh shoot, sorry." I said sticking my phone back in my pocket and moving out of the way. The sign on the door said Broadhurst Stage Door. "Are you in the show?" I asked.

"Yeah, I'm in the ensemble." He said.

"My sisters over there in heaven talking to Sarah." I said motioning towards my sister.

"Sarah is so talented, it's incredible." He said. "Are you guys seeing the show tonight?" He asked. I looked over the guy. He had slightly curly hair and striking blue eyes, just like my sisters and mine. He had one earphone in his ear and a grey sweatshirt that said 'Brooklyn' on it.

"I wish. We couldn't even afford to take a step inside the theatre." I said. "But it's my sisters dream to see the show. Maybe one day I can take her to a show." I said looking over at her.

"How old is she?" He asked.

"10. And she's full of so much hope. Sucks I always have to crush her hope." I said.

"You sound like you do a lot for her." He said.

"Pretty much raised her." I said. "And I'm telling a total stranger my life story. Wonderful." I said.

"My names Ben." He laughed reaching his hand out.

"Eliza." I said shaking his hand.

"What if I told you I could get you tickets." He smirked.

"I would laugh because that's impossible." I laughed.

"Not as impossible as you think. Wait here and I'll be right back." He said and went into the theatre. Um ok.

"El, can you come take a picture of us!" Carrie said.

"Sure!" I said. I pulled out my phone and snapped a quick picture.

"I have to go get ready for the show but it was so cool meeting you! You are so sweet!" Sarah smiled.

"It's a dream to meet you, I hope I can see you perform one day!" Carrie smiled. Sarah gave her a hug goodbye and went in the same doors Ben had gone through. "My life is complete." She smiled.

"Well I met some guy named Ben who was going into the theatre and he told me to wait out here until he came back out so just chill here for a minute." I said.

"Can I see the pictures on your phone?" Carrie asked.

"Sure." I said handing her my phone. She sat down against the wall and looked through the pictures. "I hope you realize how dirty that ground is." I said.

"I don't even care." She smiled. A couple minutes later and Ben came back out holding two tickets to the show.

"And you're welcome." He smiled handing me the tickets.

"I'm sorry, but we can't afford tickets." I said.

"They're free, just for you." He said.

"I've never heard of anything free, especially Broadway tickets." I said.

"Think of it as a gift from me to you. And the guy at the booth said no refunds so if you don't take them, they're going to go to waste." He said. I looked at him for a minute and then grabbed the tickets.

"I'm not a charity case you know." I said.

"I know, I just wanted to do something nice for your sister." He smiled looking down at her smiling at my phone.

"Well thank you." I smiled.

"And you know, if you come back to this door after the show, she can meet the whole cast. I might be able to take you all backstage." He said.

"And why would you do that?" I asked.

"Because, this is a once in a lifetime chance for your sister." He said.

"You would do that for her?" I asked.

"Of course. Just meet me here after the show. I have to get dressed hope you two enjoy the show." He smiled and left. So, this random stranger I just met just gave me two free tickets to a Broadway show and then he's gonna take us backstage after the show? Stuff like this never happens to me. There's gotta be some type of joke with this.

"Carrie, guess what. That guy just gave me two tickets to tonight's show of Tuck Everlasting." I smiled.

"WHAT!?!" She screamed jumping up and almost dropping my phone.

"Yep! Show starts in 45 minutes." I smiled. She screamed as she grabbed the tickets in my hand.

"THIS IS THE BEST DAY EVER!" She screamed. It's something all right. Somethings gotta be up with this Ben boy, and I'm gonna find out what it is.
