I am so sad about the closing of Tuck Everlasting! Their last show is just about to start so I'm posting this now! Yes, this story is still going to continue because just like the legacy that show is leaving behind, this story is everlasting. Congrats to the cast and crew for an amazing run, even though it was short. I never got to see the show but I have friends who saw it who can't stop talking about amazing it was! I'm sure all the cast members will be on the stage again soon in something, they are all so talented! I couldn't get myself to write an emotional goodbye for Tuck so this is all I got. Enjoy this chapter and so long Tuck, you will truly be missed by everyone in the Broadway community.
Ben POV:
"I can't believe it." I said sitting down on the couch in shock. "It's really over."
"At least Carrie got to make her Broadway debut and do not one but two shows." Eliza said.
"And at least me and Sarah still get to hang out." Carrie smiled. "I know we just did our last show with Tuck but think about all the positives that came out of this! We met Ben, I became friends with Sarah, we got away from dad and him in jail, we never are hungry or sleeping on the streets, you got a job, I made my Broadway debut, and we got to become close with a great group of people." She smiled.
"It was an amazing show." Joey said. "I honestly wanted to see it a third time." He laughed.
"So now what?" Eliza asked.
"Now, I take a nap." I laughed and collapsed on the couch.
"Why don't we go out?" Eliza suggested.
"Because it's 2 in the morning." I said.
"We're in the city that never sleeps! Come on!" Eliza laughed pulling on my arm.
"Fine!" I said and she pulled me up. She jumped on joeys back, Carrie jumped on mine and we headed out to the city. Within minutes, Carrie was already asleep.
"Little one's knocked out." Joey laughed.
"She's had a long week." Eliza said. I feel like I'm third wheeling on their date.
"You know, why don't I just take Carrie back to the house and call it a night. I'm exhausted and she obviously is too." I laughed.
"You sure Ben?" Eliza asked.
"Yeah, but I'll see you two in the morning. Have fun." I said and turned and headed out. I walked down the streets with Carrie still asleep on my back. It's crazy how busy the streets are even though it's 3 in the morning.
"Where are we?" I heard Carries little voice ask as she woke up.
"We are going back to the apartment." I said.
"I don't want to yet!" Carrie whined.
"Carrie you were asleep." I laughed.
"But now I'm awake!" She protested.
"Fine. Where on Earth do you want to go at 3 in the morning?" I laughed. I didn't get a response and then I heard her snoring. Well, she's back asleep. Great. We are just going to go home. Once we were back in the apartment I laid Carrie down in her bed and then headed off to my bed. Eliza's happy and that's all that matters. I don't have a job anymore....or the girl of my dreams....but I have a great....friend.
-------the next day--------
"Ben if we don't slow down I'm going to drop my donut!" Carrie protested
"And if we don't hurry, we will be late!" I said pulling her behind me.
"Why isn't Eliza taking me to audition for School of Rock?" Carrie asked.
