Eliza POV:

I woke up and looked around. Where am I again? Oh yeah, Ben's apartment. Because my dad is an ass. I looked over and Carrie was still passed out asleep. I quietly stood up so I didn't wake her up and slipped out of the bedroom.

"Well good morning." I heard a voice say. I jumped and saw Ben sitting at the kitchen table. "You are just in time for breakfast." He said.

"You made breakfast?" I asked.

"Not very well, but I made it." He laughed. I passed by a mirror and quickly saw my long blonde hair was a mess in the bun I had put it in. Oh well, it looks like a good sloppy bun. "We got burnt French toast, under cooked bacon, stale cereal with expired milk, and ice cream." He smiled.

"That all sounds delicious." I laughed.

"I'm not a chef." He laughed.

"So Ben Cook can't cook?" I laughed.

"I'm a shame to the cook name." He said.

"No kidding. But thanks for the gesture, it means a lot." I laughed. "Do you have any extra bacon or anything? Maybe I could whip up something not burnt or undercooked."

"It's all in the fridge." He laughed. I opened the fridge and his fridge was full of food. I've never seen a fridge have this much food.

"Eliza?" I heard Carrie scream from the bedroom.

"Sounds like somebody is awake." I said.

"I'll go get her." Ben said.

"Thanks." I smiled. I grab some bacon and started cooking it.

"Here's the princess." Ben said with Carrie running in behind him with one of Ben's button up shirts on that reached down to her knees.

"WE GET BREAKFAST?!?" She smiled.

"Carrie!" I said trying to get her to stop talking. I don't want Ben to realize how bad our situation truly is.

"What? We haven't eaten breakfast in months!" Carrie said running over to the table and eating burnt French toast.

"Carrie, how many meals do you usually eat?" Ben asked.

"Um well-" I started.

"1 if we are lucky. Grandma makes enough money for us to eat 3 meals but daddy takes our money and buys beer and whiskey." Carrie said shoving food down her throat. Great.

"That's not true." I said.

"Yes it is El" Carrie said. Child needs to learn to shut her mouth.

"Listen, I have a 2 show day today but you guys are welcome to stay here. I have an extra key. Please, stay." Ben said handing me a key. I took they key from his hand and shoved it in my pocket. "Thank you." He smiled. "I'm out, see you guys in between shows." Ben said and left.

"Carrie, go get changed into your clothes." I said.

"But this smells good!" Carrie said.

"Go." I said. She reluctantly stood up and went to go get changed. I looked at the key and fiddled with it in my fingers. I'm honestly not used to people being this nice. Ever.

Ben POV:

I ran into the theatre and Sarah was standing at the door.
