TMNT: Once Evil, Always Evil? (Donnie x reader)

Chapter 4

You glare at Donnie with anger, you wanted to hate him, but something deep in your gut is saying that it wasn't his fault, some things are just beyond our control, you soften your gaze at Donnie and hug him.

Donnie looks at you in surprise, "I-I forgive you", you said, still hugging him, Donnie was confused, why are you forgiving him? Why aren't you like April? Why aren't you despising him?

You pull away and looks at Donnie, "look, I'm not one of those people who hold grudges...well sometimes I do but not for long", you said, looking into Donnie's reddish brown eyes, you felt a little better but you were still upset about the whole thing, "then why aren't you, I don't know, hating me?", Donnie said.

"Did you mean to drop, who knows how many canisters of mutagen all over New York?", you asked, "no, no, no, no, of course not", Donnie said, looking at you, "it was just an accident, Donnie", you said, "some things are beyond our control, and if this April girl doesn't see this? Then she's an immature idiot", you smiled at Donnie.

"But, (Y/N), she's our first human friend we ever met, she was so kind and beautiful...she was perfect", Donnie muttered the last part, looking away, "well, she'll come around, it's just a matter of time", you said looking at the dark city.

Donnie smiled a little, "you're right, (Y/N), maybe she'll accept our apology one day", Donnie looks at you then frowned, you had tears in your eyes as you gaze at the dark city.

Donnie hugs you, you tensed a little but you hugged him back, sighing sadly, "I guess I'm on my own", you said, "you can stay with me and my brothers", Donnie said, his heart aching with guilt, "nah, I'll be fine", you said, pulling away and smiling at Donnie, "besides, it's getting late and I need to check if my family's ok", Donnie looks at you for a moment before nodding in understanding.

You got up and stretched, Donnie stood up as well, "welp, I've got to get going", you look at him and held out your hand in a handshake, "friends?", you asked, Donnie smiled at you and shook your hand, "friends."

Both your hands shocked each other, making both of you pull away and blushed, (a/n: love shock!) You two laughed a little before you guys went your separate ways.

Donnie entered the lair, thankfully everyone was still asleep so he doesn't have to worry about getting caught and went to his room quietly.

He took off his gear and mask, and put them away, he layed down and stared at the ceiling, 'what just happened?', he thought as he fell asleep.

You had checked your home, and saw that everyone was fine, you went to your room, packed your things and left, you found an alleyway with a broken mattress, you sniffled and walks to it, tears sliding down your cheeks.

You got yourself comfortable and layed down, you thought about what happened with that turtle, you held up your hand that you shook his hand and gently trace your fingers on your palm, you felt comfort from the memory of his skin touching yours.

You smiled a little before closing your eyes, used your blanket to cover yourself, and lay down your head, 'hope we meet again, ~Donnie~', you thought as you fell into a comfortable sleep.
