TMNT: Once Evil, Always Evil? (Donnie x reader)

Chapter 11

You and Donnie were laughing at a man's expression when you two dropped a water balloon on his head. "What the heck!? Ugh!!! Kids!!", the man yelled when he heard laughter up on the rooftops. "Let's bail", you whispered, with that you and Donnie ran off. When they got far enough, the fell on their backs on a rooftop, laughing loudly, "oh-oh gosh! I can't breathe!" Donnie was laughing just as hard, "oh my gosh, that was priceless! Did you see his face", Donnie said, calming down a little.

As you both calm down, you turned to Donnie, "so, how's things going at your place?" Donnie frowns at the question, narrowing his eyes, "fine...everything's just fine..." you frowned and sat up, looking at Donnie, "Donnie, you know you can tell me anything." Donnie turns away from you, lay on his side and crosses his arms, "it's nothing", he muttered lowly. You frown at this, you thought for a moment and smiles at your idea.

Donnie had his eyes shut as he lay on his side, he hates it when his brothers thought so low of him, especially Raph. He gridded his teeth a little, he was so angry and upset that he has trouble controlling it. Donnie has sometimes been known to bottle up his emotions to keep a calm and collected appearance, but in truth, he has a temper like Raph. But instead of letting loose his anger, he decided to just keep it to himself. It's been like that for almost 10 years until he met you, you're his light, you understand what he's been through and try to get him to feel better.

His thoughts were interrupted by you tackling him. Donnie shouted in surprise but started laughing when you started tickling his exposed skin. Because of his shell, it's hard to find his ticklish parts but you managed to locate them. "(Y-Y/N)! S-stop! P-please! It tickles, st-stop!", Donnie cries out between his laughing. "Say I'm the best", you said, happy to at least hear his laughter. "N-no! Ha ha ha! St-stop it!" "Not until you say it", you laughed, still tickling Donnie.

"Ok! Ok, ok! I'll say it", Donnie laughs, you stopped and watched him catching his breath. "Weeeeeeeeellllllll", you teased, smirking at him, Donnie crossed his arms and pouted, "you're the best friend I ever had...", he muttered. "And", you said, "and you're the best at cheering me up", "and?" Donnie sighed, "and I can never trade you for anything in the world", he smiles at you. You both laughed as you hugs him, happy that he's happy and you won't trade that for anything, not even your old life. Despite missing your family, you enjoyed this new life as a mutant, you get to hang out with your bestest friend in the world and you get to experience something new everyday.

After a few minutes, your both on your backs, sunbathing. Donnie being a turtle, he really likes the sun's warm on his skin and shell, you even heard him make a low trilling noise a few times. "You know, I think I like the day better than the night, the sun is so warm", Donnie said, feeling content. "I prefer the night", you said, smiling as your eyes were closed, "I like look at the stars and the cool air of the night sky is relaxing." Donnie scoffs at that, chuckling a little, "of course it is." You and Donnie laughed but after a few minutes you turn to him, frowning, "Donnie, did something happened at your home that made you come early?"

Donnie frowns and thought, should I tell her? Maybe I should, I mean I listen to her when she has problems, so why not? "Well, it's just my brothers thought so low of me, I may not be as passionate about ninjutsu as Leo, or as strong as Raph, or even as fun as Mikey. But I'm intelligent and that's what I'm good at, heck I'm a little envious of Mikey though.... He makes everyone in the lair happy by just being himself and I wish I could do that. It's not like I hate him, no, I love him very much, I'm just jealous of him is all I guess... sometimes I think he's smarter than me and he hides it so I won't be upset but I know, I've always knew..." Donnie sighed sadly, he feels pretty useless now that he thinks about it. He doesn't really feel like he's worth anything for his team and brothers. He can't fight back without his bo-staff breaking during battle and he takes too much time trying to disable a bomb, or a Kranng device. If he's not destined to help his brothers with his intelligence, then what good is he?

Donnie's thoughts were cut off when he felt a hand on his. He turn his head to you and that your hand was indeed on his. You were smiling at him to show that you're here for him. Donnie smiles back as he held your hand, feeling a bit better because you were here with him and he could finally ignore his negative emotions for your sake.

Unknown to you both that Karai was in the shadow's and heard every single word. She smiles evilly, a plan forming in her head as she continues to watch this moment between you both. She can't wait to tell her father about this....
