You and Donnie were on the tallest building in New York, just watching the sunset. Donnie sighs, he feels a little better after spending a day with you but not much. He's still very upset with his brothers, but he tries to keep his anger and sadness at bay. It's all he knows how to handle his emotions after all.

You turned to Donnie and noticed how he's fighting his emotions to submissive. You hate it to see him like this so you thought about how to take some of the burden off of him. Suddenly, you remembered that you still have your iPod, you took it out and saw the battery on it is full. Probably because of your powers, you shrugged and looked through your playlist until you found what you're looking for.

"Hey, Donnie? Do you know what I do when I feel down?" Donnie looks at you for a moment before shaking his head, "I sing", you stated as you push play on your iPod. Soft piano music started playing and Donnie perks at it, he remembered this song, it was his favorite song ever since he first built his computer.

(Y/N)
Donnie
Together
----------------------------------------------

Hold on until the feelin' is so strong
Until the ground that you walk on
Is where you stand.
This dream, it heals and it haunts me
It's tempted and taught me who I am

This town ain't yours
And this town ain't mine.
We all come here with a light in our eyes

Some will burn out.
Some will burn bright.
Some learn to fly.
Some will run for their lives.
In this town.
In this town.

Strangers, we're nothin' but strangers
When our heart's in danger
For the song we sing.
I've seen the devil inside me
But I won't let him guide me
Or take my wings

This town ain't yours
And this town ain't mine.
We all come here with a light in our eyes
Some will burn out. (Some will burn out.)
Some will burn bright. (Some will burn bright.)
Some learn to fly.
Some will run for their lives.
In this town
In this town

The music comes to play as you and Donnie sing you hearts out. Donnie feels at peace when singing with you, he hasn't song in a few years and you have to admit, he has a nice voice. Not Justin Timberlake good but it's very decent, you can actually feel his emotions when he sings. You smile at him and he smiles back as you both continue to sing.

This town ain't yours. (This town ain't yours.)
And it surely ain't mine. (This town ain't mine.)
We all come here with a light in our eyes
Some will burn out.
Some will burn bright.
Some learn to fly.
Some will run for their lives.
In this town
In this town (This town.)
Ooh ooh ooh ooh
(Ooh this town.)
In this town.

----------------------------------------------

When the song ended, Donnie doesn't feel angry or upset anymore. He felt happy, the happiest he had felt in years and he couldn't help but smile wide at you. Donnie hugs you and you hug him back, "thank you, (Y/N). I've never felt better." You laughed as you patted his shell, relieved that he's feeling better, "don't mention it, Don, it's just what I do."

Hi everyone, I hope you enjoy the singing part. I love this song because I remember me and my brother listening to it together and we don't hang out very much growing up, so I thought this might fit. Plus it makes me feel better during my....well, depressions....anyway leave a comment and sorry for it being a little short than usual.
