I..umm, well love you..:)

confessions..

the next morning was quick, the plan was to meet for lunch. all of them, jessie, jeremie, scarlet, catherine, matt, kevin, justin and .....steve. 

okay, jeremie was very clear what she had to do, had to ignore her mom and walk past her. and then enjoy her time with friends. she walked down the stairs while her mom stood by the table. she stared at jeremie while jeremie merrily ignored. 

"where are you off to now?" her mother questioned. jeremie, as planned, walked past her mom as if she had not heard a word and slammed the door shut. she got into the cab and texted justin. 

you're coming...right? the message read. 

justin: i'm not sure..

jeremie: why?

justin: not in a mood...

jeremie: come..

justin: why?

jeremie: for me..

justin: how are you? . he said ignoring her comment.

jeremie: better. was i too embarrassing?

justin: shut up jem..

jeremie: :)..yea but you're coming.

justin: i'm not.

jeremie: you are.

justin: i'm not feeling too well...really.

jeremie: really? let me do this, i'll come check on you and then go for lunch..

justin: okay, i give up. i'm good, but not in a mood.

jeremie: what am i going to do if you're not there? :(

aww, she was acting so cute, he couldn't decline.

justin: okay, i'll be there..smile..:)

jeremie: yay!

justin: see you in a while..:)

jeremie: do that..

the cab pulled up outside the restaurant and jeremie headed in. everyone was seated and chattering. "hi." she mumbled, and everyone replied. she did not know whether to smile at steve or not. whether to hold the grudge or let go.. she did not make eye contact with him and sat next to scarlet. 

a little 10 mins later justin joined them, he smiled at jeremie and greeted the rest of them. he sat next to jeremie and looked at her for  while. he leaned in so his lips were next to her ears. "here, just for you." he whispered. she smiled. "appreciated. " she whispered back and he smiled. 

~after the lunch~

"jeremie." steve called and jeremie turned around. 

"yeah?" she asked. 

"i wanted to talk to you.." he said.

"what is it?" she asked, avoiding eye-contact.

"i just wanted to apologize for my behaviour. i'm sorry, i was incorrect." he said, in a low voice. jeremie was surprised, she was expecting another offer. 

"it's okay." she said in a low voice.

"i'm really sorry, i insulted you. you didn't deserve it. i'm really sorry." he repeated.

"you should be." said justin, who suddenly appeared out of thin air. jeremie looked at him. 

"let's go." he said to jeremie. she smiled at steve. "it's okay. bye." she said and walked to where justin led her.

"what was that douche upto?" he asked.

"nothing. he was apologizing, and you were rude." she said. 

"i was rude." justin repeated sarcastically.

"you were, all he wanted to do was talk." she protested.

"right." he continued with the tone.

"justin. why did you do that?" she asked.

"i care." he said and jeremie swore she melted faster than butter.

"drop me home." she couldn't hide her smile and held justin's hand. he smiled too. 

~outside jeremie's house~

"bye." she said.

"i don't wanna say bye just yet." he said.

"are you flirting with me?" she asked.

"is it working?" he asked.

"not at all." she smiled and he chuckled. she still held his finger and was about to leave it when  her mom entered the scene. 

"jeremie, you're home." her mom said and she turned around, letting go of justin's hand. 

"i am." jeremie said.

"where were you?" her mom started again.

"i was out for lunch." she answered.

"with him?" her mom asked.

"with everyone mom." 

"oh, how many guys?" she inquired.

"mom, what is this about? seriously, tell me!" jeremie said, her voice rising.

"it is about you jeremie! you're growing up, and you're supposed to act responsible." she said.

"and how exactly have i broken the rules mom?" she asked.

"you're roaming around with guys, drinking alcohol, not talking properly." her mom went on with the list.

"and what about you mom, ha? what about your responsibilities?"

"what do you mean?" her mother asked.

"mom, i have tried hard, i mean it, i've tried hard to get you back. you and dad, all you guys do is fight, and you think i don't notice. you think i don't understand? whenever mom, whenever i've tried talking to you you've shoeed me away. you never cared. now just because you realize all of a sudden that you've been ignoring me all this while, you want to get back to me? i'm not used to being taken care of, and now you expect me to get used to all of it? and you need to learn how to be a mother mom, because you've never been one, you aren't being one, and you'll probably never be!" jeremie screamed angrily. and that was it. her mom's hand flew to jeremie's cheek and she closed her eyes. justin stepped ahead.

"you cannot hit her like that, ma'm." he said holding jeremie.

"oh, who are you to tell me what to do with my daughter?" jeremie's mom asked.

"ma'm i surely am no one, but i'd really like to tell you, that your behaviour hurts her. your  words hurt her enough, there's no need for you to make it physical." he said strongly. jeremie looked at justin. 

"and why do you care?" her mom asked.

"I care because i love her." he said. jeremie's eyes widened. had she just heard that? did he just admit his love? he looked into jeremie's eyes and she felt the intensity of his glare. he seemed to look right through her.  

"oh great. this was what i needed to hear-" her mom started. and after a little more chatter she went inside the house.

this wasn't what jeremie needed. she was already troubled enough. she had enough questions to answer, she didn't need another one. "jeremie." justin started.

"just. go." she said. he followed. with a final glance both of them parted ways.
