I woke up to tapping at my window. I groaned and rolled out of bed with a thud. I walked over to my door and flipped the light switch on. I covered my eyes, shielding them with my hands.
One my eyes adjusted to the light, I walked over to my window, where my owl was outside of. I opened the latch on the window and the owl flew in and perched on the table.
I closed the window and walked over to my owl. I untied the letter that was tied around his leg and read it.
Dear Lexi,
I am so, so, so, so sorry for sleeping with your husband. I know it was wrong. We were drunk and had no idea what we were doing. I'm glad you forgive me. You're my best friend and I don't want something as stupid like I did to come between us. I love you, Lexi! And I'm so proud of you for getting the job. Oh, and Lee and me are back together, just so you know. I'm happy we're friends again!
-Angelina
I smile down at the letter in my hand. I was glad that I had my best friend back. Other then the twins and Ginny, she was my best friend.

After I had given my owl some bread, I headed down to the Great Hall for breakfast. Once I was in there, I took my seat next to Neville. I smiled at him. He furrowed his eyebrows at me.
"What...?" He asked, wondering why I was smiling at him creepy like.
I shook my head. "Nothing. I got my best friend back is all."
Neville returned my smile. "That's great, Lex. Hey, um...well the Hogsmead trip is this weekend and I was wondering if you'd like to go with me." His eyes went wide just then. "I-I mean as friends." He stumbled over his words there for a minute.
I giggled and placed a hand on his shoulder. "Neville, I would love to go on the trip with you." I then added, "As friends."
Neville chuckled nervously. I watched him run a hand through his brown hair. "Great...great." He then turned to the food in front of him and started eating. I did the same, piling bacon and toast on my plate. After breakfast I headed out early to my classroom to get my stuff ready. I opened the door and closed it, walking over to my desk.
That's when I heard the crying.
There sat in the very back of the room a blonde girl. Her name was Amy Long. She was a first year and in my first class. She was also a Gryfindor.
I walked to the back of the room. "Amy?" I said in a soft, quiet voice. The little girl lifted her head. She had tears falling down her pale cheeks. As soon as she saw me, she wiped them away on the sleeve of her robe.
"Mrs-Mrs. Weasley? What are you doing here?" She asked. I took a seat next to her at the desk and smiled at her.
"Well, this is my classroom. So the question is, why are you here?"
Amy was quiet for a moment. "Well, Tommy Hudson, from Ravenclaw was telling me just because I'm a Muggle-born I shouldn't even be here. I'm not smart enough to be a witch and I'm a disgrace to the name of Gryfindor..." She explained.
My mouth hit the floor. "What? Why did he say that to you?"
"He said that Purebloods should be separated from Muggle-borns and halfbloods."
I felt a bubble of anger form in the pit of my stomach. I stood up so ubruptly I almost flipped the table over. "I'll be right back." I then stormed out of the room. I guess breakfast is over because there was students in the hall. I found who I was looking for.
Tommy Hudson was leaning up against the wall outside of my class. I pointed a finger at him. "You..You vile loathsome little boy. Was that really nessesary to say those horrible things to Amy? Was it?" I yelled. He looked very scared. "It's the people like you that really makes me pissed off." I was breathing heavily. Everyone who was in the hallway was staring at me. But I didn't care.
"Detention with me for tonight after dinner." I told Tommy. To everyone who was in my class, "Go inside and read chapters two through three."
After everyone went inside, I leaned up against the hall, trying to catch my breath. I feel bad that I yelled at that boy, but he deserved it. Saying those terrible things to sweet little Amy. I'm sure it's not his fault. It's his parents fault for teaching him that Muggle-borns and halfbloods should be separated from Purebloods. He probably has a Muggle-born or halfblood in his family, so really he's not all pure like he thinks.
I sighed and ran a hand through my hair. I then walked back in my classroom and closed the door behind me. I took a seat at my desk.
Tommy was sitting beside Amy, apologizing to her. I saw Amy grin at him and hug him. I heard her say that she forgives him.
I thought that after the war, Purebloods wouldn't be so descrimative against the others. I guess things never change...
"Hudson." I called out. The boy looked up. I motioned with my hand for him to come up to my desk.
"Yes, Mrs. Weasley?" He asked in a quiet voice.
"Sorry for yelling at you like that. But you still have detention tonight. Okay?"
He nodded his head and went back to his seat to read.
I grinned to myself.
I wasn't really looking forward to detention tonight...
A/n Ooooh. Got some more drama here. I really liked how Lexi stood up for Amy, since she's a halfblood herself. Love ya guys!! Gonna have the detention scene in the next chapter, btw.
