For the first time in a long time, instead of an energetic and fresh morning Sonali had woken up later than usual with her body sore all over and head hurting so much as if someone was playing drums inside of her head continuously. She hated the migraine episodes with all her might.

Unlike any other couple who would usually wake up cuddled into each other's arms after an indulgent and cozy series of events the night before, she'd woken up curled up cocooned underneath the blanket sticking close to the half naked man sleeping without a care in the world with his body supine and disciplined like any other day.

Having a congested nose with a killing headache and body pain was probably the worst combination ever. She brushed her teeth in a hurry, washed her face shuddering with the cold water hitting her in the face.

Sonali pulled over a warm hoodie and sweatpants and also wore fluffy socks before picking up her phone and medicines from the drawer and left the room silently.

Once she'd made it downstairs, walking into the kitchen the first thing she did was to ask for an early breakfast and kadak chai so that she could take her medicine. She sat on the dining table with her head held in between her palms, feeling the throbbing head with her eyes closed in wait.

“Not feeling well today?” Shailesh said with a huff taking a seat on the other side and looked at her burning face with a frown. “Do you have a fever?”

“Just the migraine acting up.” Her nasally voice dismissed her light claim the very moment. She helplessly shook her head and leaned back to let the maid serve her breakfast and coffee.

“I’ll ask the doctor to come over.” Shailesh said with concern written all over his face as he made the phone call and made a beeline towards his room. He'd just come back from his walk and he was expecting her company today but much to his disappointment she hadn't come downstairs.

Sonali had become an integral part of probably everyone's life in a way or another. Her change in schedule and traveling so much had changed a lot of things that'd developed in the past few months before the election campaigns had begun.

Sonali didn't even have it in herself to act modest, she really felt like she needed to get checked because now not just the headache but her whole body was chilled to the core.

Finishing up the methi paratha and chai with a spoon of ghee in it, she popped in an over the counter tablet for the fever. By the time she'd finished and went back upstairs to sleep off the surging fever, Shaurya had already woken up.

The bed was empty and the room, much to her pleasure, was not as cold as she was expecting. Relieved, she lied down and made herself comfortable before closing her eyes, hoping for the discomfort she felt now almost everywhere to go away soon.
