Chapter 20: Unexpected

Catherine's POV

Inaayos ko yung mga weapon ko at nilagay iyon sa cabinet ko. Inaayos ko yung dagger ko sa desk ko sa gilid ng kama. Yung katana ko naman pinorma kong naka-pa X sa taas ng kama. Aayusin ko na sana yung hair pins ko na poisoned ng may kumatok sa main door.

"Who is it?"

"Room service po ma'am pinapadeliver po yung pagkain niyo" Hay buti naman alam ni Kito na nagugutom na uli ako. Sana naman kasama na yung Napkin ko dito. It's uncomfortable kaya. Pinagbuksan ko yung babae at pumasok siya.

Tumalikod ako at ginuide siya kung saan ilalagay yung pagkain. Pagka-baba niya nung pag kain sa table.

"You may now go" sabi ko. Nag nod siya at biglang may hinugot siya dun sa Cart. My eyes widened nung nakita kong baril pala iyon na may silencer. Sht. Bumaril siya, inilagan ko iyon pero nadaplisan niya yung kamay ko. Aish! Not this again.

Tinry kong pigilan yung sarili ko sa pag aadrenaline rush. Pero mahirap, I tried to focus on her gun. I roundhouse kicked her hand and the gun flew out of her hand. I quickly grabbed the gun and shot her head.

Dali daling may pumasok na mga lalaki binaril ko rin sila pati na rin yung mga nasa labas.

I was getting so dizzy because of controlling my blood lust. Jeez. My hand trembled when I heard a voice from my back.

"Well done btch, you're so great at killing my men" and I saw a girl wearing a white chiffon dress and a pair of cute beige sandals. On her right hand she was holding a gun.

"Mind introducing yourself btch?" I asked.

"Heather Brooks, you must have not remembered me. But no matter, you'll never remember a single thing when you are dead" then she pointed the gun at me and then fired. But my reflexes was so fast that I laid down on the floor to avoid the bullet and shoot her head. As she fell down the floor, my eyes began to close. Guess I'm really tired.

Sht. My head hurts so bad. Unti unti kong minulat ang mata ko. Unang bumungad sakin ay ang mukha ni Kito.

"Are you okay now?" Nagaalala niyang tanong. "Yup, I'm sorry I made you worry" sabi ko sakanya. He held my hand and rubbed it on his cheek like it was the most valuable thing for him. I looked around the room and I saw a girl and a boy that looks like a japanese and a korean.

I was about to ask who they are but they already told me their names.

"Haruhi Akiro" then he winked at me. I saw Kito glared at him and he raised his hands in surrender.

"Nam JaGyeom" and she smiled at me. She's very sweet. I can tell that by her smile. I smiled back at them.

"Catherine Reigne Victorina Angelie Espinosa" and I smiled at them too. Their eyes widened when I told them their name. Hahaha. I chuckled at them.

"JaGyeom can you look after Cath for a while I'm just going to talk to Akiro for a while" tumango si JaGyeom. Tumingin ako kay Kito. He looked in my eyes for a second then he kissed my forehead.

He stood up and went outside with Akiro. Then JaGyeom sat beside the bed.

An awkward silence enveloped the room. So I broke the silence by asking her.

"Are you and Akiro in a relationship?" She smiled and nodded. "How about you and Kito?"

"He is my bestfriend, and my knight too" I smiled at her. That's our connection. Is there something more than that?

"Kito loves you so much, I can see it on the way he looks at you." I looked at JaGyeom. "You think so?" I asked then she nodded.

She was about to say something when my phone rang. Jagyeom handed me my phone.

-NeowNeow Calling-

"Hello'

"Hello, why did you call?"

"I'm going to Europe for a while. Maybe a year or so."  I feel like my heart sank .

"When are you leaving?"

"I got to go we're boarding" Then the call ended.

I stared blankly at the wall. What has happened to him? Why is he leaving. And what's with his voice. It was cold.

Before I knew it a tear fell from my eye. How could he leave me without seeing me again. Was he really toying me? Damn his riddles.

I wiped away my tears. He'll come back for me. Right? When he comes back I promise I'll never let him go again. 

"Ba't ka umiiyak?" tanong ni JaGyeom sakin. "Ah wala, tumawag si Mommy sabi patay na daw yung isda ko." Napa-ahh na lang si JaGyeom at nag condolence. Nginitian ko na lang siya. Tyaka natulog ulit.

-Kito's POV-

After I talked to Akiro about burning down the company that took money from our bank account, we went back in my room to check on JaGyeom and Cath.

When we got back we saw Cath sleeping and Jagyeom sitting on the other side of the bed.

"Hey! Can I ask you a question?" Jagyeom asked. I nodded.

"Does Cath have a fish?" Well that question was not expected.

"No, she hated them. Why?" "She was crying over a phone call a while ago, when I asked her why she told me that her mother called telling her fish died" I laughed at her. But why was Cath crying?

Cath hates fish because they can't do anything other than being food. I transferred Cath to her room and tucked her into bed. Akiro and Jagyeom already went back to their house.  I went to my room and went to sleep.

~Cath's POV~

I was so down when I woke up. I took a bath and dressed. I feel like I was carrying a boulder upon my shoulder. I went out of my room and I saw Kito in the kitchen finishing up our breakfast.

He looked at me and gave me my bento. I smiled slyly and went to the dinning room, waiting for our breakfast. I looked at my phone and not a single text message was there. I was kinda hoping that he didn't board the plane.

Regrets, Sadness and Frustration continues to confuse my mind. He left me without a freaking explanation. Well, I can't complain right? We're not even a couple. Ano nga naman karapatan ko.

Dumating na si Kito with our breakfast.

"Here, Eat as many as you can. You look a bit down" I smiled at him. He always knows how to put me back in a good mood.

"Thanks Kito" After I finished breakfast. Kito and I drove to school. As I hop off the car I ran as fast as I could to our room. Hoping he'll be there. Taking a nap with his head resting on his desk.

But when I got to our room. He wasn't there. I felt that horrible ache in my heart again. My eyes began to tear up again. I wiped it away and turned around. I was shocked to see Kito in front of me catching his breath.

"Why did you run?" He asked. Still catching his breath. I was thinking of a good excuse. But I can't I just sighed.

"Fine it's okay if you won't tell me." He said coldly then went inside the room. I followed him and sat on my chair.

Break time came. I went to the library where I always see him. I searched every corner of the library but no sign of him. I remembered that we were still okay for the past few days. Then out of the blue he'll leave me?

I went back to the classroom. Kito is quite silent today. Suddenly, Mr. Dulay entered the room. I guess it's math time already. Sht.

I've got no partner. Arrrggh. Why must he makes this hard for me? How can I forget him if everywhere I go there is a memory of him.

I need to forget him.
