-Darcie-

"Thanks." I said as Nathan put the tea on the table between the two couches we were sat on separately. It was so strange being in Chandler's house without him there. But it was less eerie having Nathan around.

He sat on the other couch with his own drink, blowing on it to cool it down.
"Are you okay?" Nathan said eventually, taking a sip of his drink before placing it on the table. "You look...concerned."

I nodded, pushing my hair out of my face. "I just... I don't know what I'm going to do when he gets out. That's all."

"What do you mean? Steven gave you the choice to either go ahead with the move, or stay."

"And that's exactly where I'm stuck. See... I really really fucking hate Chandler. In fact, I think he deserves to stay in prison," I sighed, running my hand through my hair.

"I'm sensing a 'but'?" Nathan said as I leaned against the back of the couch.

"But then at the same time... I've got this... feeling, and I don't know what it is. Like I feel obliged to stay around him."

Nathan smirked. "What?" I asked. He shook his head, still smiling.

"Do you mean... you've got some sort of feelings for him? Like...love?"

I frowned. "No...I just-"

"Sure." He cut me off. "Explain the kissing. Was it just an...elaborate act of friendship?" Nathan said, shaking his hands to emphasise his words.

"Nathan." I groaned. He apologised with a chuckle. "There's just something up with him. A lot's up with him, and he needs help."

"What, like with his schizophrenia? We've got him on treatment and-"

"Not just that." I cut him off. "You don't know do you? About the self harm?" Nathan's eyes widened considerably.

"He... no, he doesn't do that. Surely. I mean-"

"He does. I've seen it. And it looks like it's been going on for a long time." I reached for the cup of tea, and took a sip. "That's why I feel like I should... stay by him. I know what it's like. I've got my own mental fuck ups, but I know how to deal with them, I suppose. I can help."

"I'm not going to make up your mind for you," Nathan replied after a minute or two, "But just make sure that your decision is the right one."

"I suppose." I said, taking another gulp of tea. The warmth soothed my throat, which was incredibly sore and itchy from my bad allergies.

I put the cup back onto the table and sneezed loudly. Nathan laughed. "Do you want allergy pills?" He said. "I know where he keeps painkillers and all that jazz. There must be some somewhere."

"It's okay," I sniffed. "I think I know where they are." I stood up and went into the kitchen.

"I'll be back in a second." Nathan called. "I left my phone in the car."

"Okay." I called back, wandering around for a minute. I poured myself a fresh glass of water, and took a sip before walking to the corner cupboard unit on the ground next to the refrigerator, resting the glass on top.

I crouched, pulling the doors open. "Aha." I said to myself, seeing a large tupperware box with multiple smaller boxes and packets inside.

I pulled the box out, still crouching and pulled off the lid, digging through the various over-the-counter medications that were in there. "Paracetamol, Advil, Aspirin." I mumbled, going through the boxes, taking them out and putting them on the floor.

I continued rummaging through the container, still unable to find the anti histamine medicine, hearing the front door close as Nathan came back inside.

He was silent, so I presumed he was in the living room, waiting for me to come back. "Any joy?" I heard him say, proving me wrong. He must've been standing in the kitchen archway.

"Nah. I'm still looking for them." I replied, with my back still turned.

"Shame." I jumped. Still facing the cupboard, I realised he was right behind me. I laughed, and carried on looking inside the box. "You scared me, you asshole."

"I wanted you to be at least a little comfortable." He said, his voice now serious.

I chuckled again, nervously before putting the box down."Nathan, what are you going on ab-" I began to turn round, but stopped speaking as I felt a sharp pain in my neck. My hand instinctively moved up to it, and I felt a small drop of blood on my fingertips.

I turned fully, looking at Nathan with parted lips. He had a wry smile on his face, just like Chandler back in the cabin. When I saw what was in his hand, I trembled. A syringe.

"What the...what the fuck?" I tried to stand, but as soon as I got to my feet, I stumbled, right into his arms- my legs numb. I looked up at him, in both shock, and fear as the smile remained plastered onto his lips.

My vision began to double, then blur as my head span. I closed eyes, and my head rolled forwards onto Nathan's chest as I groaned in discomfort. "What did...you-" I tried to say, but I couldn't form any words. My mouth wouldn't move properly.

"Shh." Nathan said. I felt his hand run smoothly through my hair, the other keeping me upright by the back. "Let's lay you back down so you can get to sleep nice and quick, huh?" He pushed on my body slightly, my knees giving way as I flopped back onto the floor, completely motionless.

I moaned in protest, unable to form words as he stood over me and smiled, my eyelids becoming heavier every second.

"Let's get this over with." He said, crouching. He pushed my hair out of my face. "The worst part." He pulled something from over his shoulder. Rope.

I groaned as my shoulders got pushed, making me roll flat onto my front. "This is pretty efficient, you know. Should've drugged those two kids, too. Would've made my life a whole lot easier." He laughed sadistically. It was him. Nathan killed them. Not Chandler.

My eyes closed as I felt my arms get taken behind my back, and the thick rope connect with my skin.

Nathan framed Chandler. He set him up.

I felt my wrists get pulled together. The last thing I felt was my legs getting pulled vertically straight, my ankles forced together. Then, I was unconsious.
