-Chandler-

I closed the door, turning on the lights, only bothering to lock the first padlock on it as Darcie walked into the house in front of me. She seemed pretty calm, knowing that...well, thinking, rather, that she was only here for a few hours.

Should I be doing this? Yes. No. I shouldn't. Why are you asking me then? Prick.

I squeezed my eyes shut, before turning towards Darcie who stood against the wall.

"You still haven't told me." She spoke quietly, looking into my eyes. "You know...why I'm here." She continued when I just stared back with no reply.

"Oh. Right...uh." I exhaled, grabbing onto Darcie's wrist. "Come with me."

I took her upstairs, having to tug a little to speed her up. Once we reached the landing, I let go of her arm and walked up to my bedroom door. She shuffled behind.

"I need to take you in here. Don't touch anything...just sit on the end of the bed." She stared back blankly in reply before eventually nodding.

I twisted the doorknob and pushed the door open, allowing Darcie to enter first. I followed and closed the door behind me.
She stood in silence, looking around my bedroom like an inquisitive child. I watched as her eyes drifted over different things; the desk with the lamp which stood on top, still switched on, it's light shining over my closed notebook, the closed bathroom door, the double bed with black sheets spread over it- completely neat, apart from the few crinkles from where I lay awake throughout the night, pondering up to the white ceiling.

"Come over here." I said, walking to the closed bathroom door, waiting for Darcie to stand by my side. Once she was there, I leaned against the door and spoke close to a whisper.

"I know." I looked to the ground, narrowing my eyes slightly before looking back into her grey eyes.

She gulped. "You know what?"

I sighed. "About Colorado. You, moving." Darcie immediately looked in my direction, with a nervous, almost frightened expression on her face. I remained blank.

"How...did you- I-"

"That doesn't matter." I cut her off. "But what does matter is the fact that you intend to leave."

"Chandler, I don't want to. I tried telling Steven but he wouldn't have any of it."

I flexed my jaw in mild frustration. "You don't understand, do you?"

"Understand what?"

"You're one of us now. We've got the evidence, filings, everything we need to show you and prove that you are now one of us." She gulped again, looking sideways to think of what to say.

"I...I don't want-"

"They don't give a shit as to what you want or don't want. You're a Raven now. Plain and Simple. They can track you down wherever you go, and unless you play by our rules, you're not going to last long."

"Are you...serious?" Darcie said after almost a minute of silence. She wasn't at all timid at this point... in fact, she was sort of angry. "So you guys have some sort of...rule over me now?"
