Y'all so this is set about 2 months after the previous chapter- it's just a filler so sorry for the boring stuff, however I promise there will be more exciting stuff starting next chapter :'). I'm also so sorry this is absolutely shit- I've not been feeling great lately so this is pretty haphazardly written, I must admit :/

-Darcie-

"They ran out of barbecue sauce so I just got ketchup."

I scrunched my nose up as Chandler placed the tray of food on the table.
The mall 's food court wasn't busy at all, which was strange seeing as it was summer vacation time. But I wasn't complaining.

"What?" Chandler questioned my expression with a curious smile on his face.

I shrugged. "I don't know... I've just really gone off ketchup lately. Makes me feel sick."

"Fair enough." He replied, sitting down and unwrapping his burrito. I took my box of fries and started munching on them hungrily, as it had been hours since I had last eaten. Taking a sip of my Pepsi, I heard stifled laughter coming from beside me.

I turned to the source of the laughter and saw a group of teenagers- only a year or so younger than us, staring across from their table. The girl and three guys were laughing at me in particular. I stared over at them, unsure of why they were laughing.

The girl widened her eyes and puffed up her cheeks mockingly towards me as the rest of the group laughed. As they continued to snigger, I turned back to my fries, and pushed them slightly away from me. Staring at my stomach, I clenched my jaw to prevent myself from crying.

"What's wrong?" Chandler questioned, looking up from his phone which he had been avidly scrolling through, noticing that I wasn't eating.

"Nothing. I'm just not hungry."

"But you said you were starving a couple of minutes a-"

"I've just lost my appetite, Chandler, okay?" I snapped, sitting back in my chair, still feeling the eyes of the group of teenagers on me.

Chandler frowned, puzzled by my sudden tone. He looked to the side, noticing the group. His confused expression turned into a disgusted one, before he turned back to me.

"They making fun of you?" He asked, still frowning. "Darcie?" He pushed when I didn't answer.

"Yeah." I close to whispered.

Chandler's jaw clenched as he looked over to them, pushing his chair backwards to stand. He turned towards them, ready to walk over, but I quickly stood and pulled on his arm.

"No, please don't make it any worse than it already is." I pleaded.

"Why? They're being fucking disrespect-"

"Please." I said, pulling him back towards his seat. He sighed and sat back down as the group began to snigger even more.

After several long seconds of silence, Chandler asked "What were they saying?"

I hesitated to reply, but eventually told him. "The same thing I keep saying about myself. Therefore it must be true."

Chandler sighed. "You're not fat, Darcie. Stop say-"
