Having to raise 30 million won in a month, Seong Im had no choice but to work two jobs. From 10am to 10pm she would be working at Geno cafe and after that she had to rush to her second job, working from 12am to 6am at a convenience store which opens for 24 hours.
She was returning home from the cafe when she noticed a man trying to unlock the metal gate to her apartment. She squint her eyes to get a better look. "Appa?" she called out. The middle aged man gasped when he turned around and saw Seong Im standing a stone throw away. He tried to run away but she caught up with him.
"Where are you going? Do you know how much I'm suffering right now because of the debt you owed?" she grabbed his arm and shouted.
"Yah! I'm your dad! How can you speak to me in that tone?!"
"Even if you're my dad, it doesn't mean that I have to pay your debt for you!" Seong Im replied while still holding on to his arm tightly.
"Let go of me!" her dad shouted and pushed her to ground. "Just take it that I'm spending your money." he continued and looked around at his surrounding before running away.
"Aish!" Seong Im frustratingly shouted. She noticed a pair of shoes in front of her. She looked up and was taken aback to see Hee Gun standing in front of her with his hand stretched out.
"Why are you here? It has only been a week. I don't have the money." Seong Im asked and got up by herself, indirectly rejecting his help.
"I'm not here to ask you for the money. I just wanted to check if you're okay after that slap." he explained with his usual expressionless face.
Seong Im scoffed at his explanation. To her, a thug caring about his debtor was something that was totally unbelievable. "Now that you've seen me and I'm fine, please leave."
She took a few steps and almost fell to the ground if not for Hee Gun. "Looks like you sprained your ankle." he told her and carried her into her house despite her protest.
He put her down on the couch and looked around the house and found the first aid kit located on the shelf next to the door. He took out the ointment from the kit and attempted to pplied it on her ankle but Seong Im shift her leg away. "What do you think you're doing right now?"
"Trying to apply ointment on your ankle." he replied and held her leg still before applying the ointment.
"Unbelievable.. And now a thug is massaging my sprained ankle?" Seong Im scoffed.
"I'm just doing this so that you can recover and return us the money as soon as possible." he replied. Seong Im screamed in pain as he applied pressure to her swollen ankle. He bandaged her ankle and return the first aid kit to its original position.
"Don't walk around too much. I'll leave now." he told her before leaving her place.
As she watched him leave, she couldn't help but to felt that it was weird for him to be so caring towards his debtor. He seems different from the other two thugs.
"Aish. How am I suppose to work now?" She stared at her bandaged ankle and lamented. Nothing seems to be going well for her the past few days.
