Chapter: 10

Evan's POV:

There's nobody here

There's nobody now,

When I when I needed you most

You let me down

I thought that you were there, there for me

A person I thought that you would be

Instead you were cruel,

A monster inside.

Where there was truth,

It hid the lies

I fought back the tears,

That stung my eyes.

It took me long

To realise...

You were never even there

For

Me.

I got lost in the music. My fingers danced over the piano as I cleared my mind and sang the lyrics that stained my heart. I gripped the music sheet and a single tear streamed down my face as I look down at the last song that I had ever completed. I had never had the muse to finish a piece that I start. Nothing had caught my eye long enough for me to stay hypnotise with the feelings that come with it. I mean, I've tried so hard to find a new muse but nada, zilch, nothing had ever given the emotions that I had felt when I wrote, "Never Even There,".

I can picture the day I wrote it. Those years ago, a little 13 year old boy, lost and heartbroken. I remember lashing out the piano and pouring my heart and soul into the music. I sat on this very piano in my study, all the memories flooding my brain and tears flooding my eyes. There was no denying how lonely I was. I kept myself locked up in this study for days on piano, singing and playing trying to find the perfect lyrics and music for the song. When I had finally finished it I had sung it over and over again until my throat couldn't take it anymore and I had lost my voice. I was eating away at my own soul as I repeated the lyrics over and over, as I sat curled up in a ball.

Summer's POV:

"Jack put me down! I swear to god if you don't put me down this instant I will personally slit your back with my nails," I yelled as I pounded against his smooth, defined back.

"I see you like it rough," Jack chuckled as my fists kept colliding with his bare back. His hands were holding the small of my waist as he had me thrown over his shoulder.

"I'm not a rag doll, put me down." He walked towards the edge of the pool and I froze mid through a strike to the ass. "No- Jack- You don't want to do that." I told him as he began to lift me over his shoulder and threatened to throw me in.

"That's where you are wrong babe," and with that my body was submerged in the luke warm water. My body tensed up and I had the perfect idea. If he wanted to play, then prepare to play. I let my body relax, I let my arms float to my side. I released a deep breath as I sunk towards the bottom of the pool. The tiles of the pool was cool against the exposed skin as I was in my cute pink bikini. My body went limp and I closed my eyes. Just as how I had planned, I felt a large splash as Jack had followed me into the pool and I felt frantic hands wrap themselves around my waist. The hands lifted me above the water and I forced my body to stay limp.

"Summer! Omg! Summer! ARE YOU OKAY?" Jack was holding my face and my body gave up. My eyes flew open and I burst into a fit of laughter. I clutched at my stomach as I rolled on the floor laughing.
