"Why so sleepy?" Luke asked me as I struggled to keep my eyes open as we drove to my place. He was driving my car because I had spent most of last night having anxiety over everything; would I get the job? What's going to happen with Riley? Do Luke's fans hate me? Do they even know I exist because we're pretty lowkey about like everything? Does Luke even like me?

"Just tired, that's all." I replied as I slouched lower into the passenger seat and pulled the sleeves of my jumpers of my hands. Why did he have to put the damn air conditioning on so low? Music played through the radio as we drove along the highway and the sun set an orange glimmer over the road that was almost blinding.

"Pretty sure last time I was driving your car, I crashed it." Luke laughed, one hand gripped firmly on the steering wheel, the other gripped firmly on my thigh. Yes, he was one of those guys.

"If you do it again, you can pay for this bill this time." I replied deadpan. He chuckled at my comment and continued driving until we hit the city and got stuck in traffic.

"Dammit." He said in annoyance as we drew up behind a whole line of cars that where slowly creeping along the road. My eyes wandered around and looked at the people in cars; why do kids always have to pick their noses? Gross. I also decided this was probably a better time for me to tell Luke about Drew coming to visit. Not that there was really anything to tell.

"So, uh? Drew came by my apartment yesterday?" It sounded more like a question than a statement.

"Why?" I looked at the side of his profile; his jaw was clenched as he glanced at a car attempting to pull in our lane.

"He wanted to speak to me about some stuff, but I was like bye."

"What did he want to speak about?"

"Well, he wanted to ask to get back together. But obviously I said no. I just thought you should know." I explained, drawing circles on his hand where he was holding onto my thigh whilst he drove.

"Why the fuck did he even bother if he knew we were together? Have you been speaking to him or something?" Luke removed his hand from my leg, and you know that really weird way after something hot has been on you for a long time and then it moves, and suddenly it's like freezing cold? Yeah, I got that.

"I haven't spoke to him. He didn't know we're together." I replied bluntly. What was he getting so pissy about?
"When was the last time you spoke to him then?" Luke breathed heavily through his nose and he ran a hand through his hair; clearly frustrated at the traffic, or me? Or both?

"A few weeks ago, he came by to pick up some of his things. Before we were together."
"Did anything happen?" He asked. I stayed quiet; I shouldn't have fucking mentioned it.

"Did anything happen?" He repeated. I still didn't answer and pretended to be very intrigued by the car in front of us's registration plate. "Did you fuck him or something?"

"Look, it was before we were even a thing so? I don't even think it matters-" I blabbered.

"Of course it fucking matters." He half-shouted. "That means you probably still have feelings for him."

"I don't have any fucking feelings towards him. You're trying to say if someone who you find attractive- and don't take offence to this because I still think you're better looking- walks in and offers to have sex, you're going to turn them down?" I ranted and sat back heavily in the seat. He stayed silent but I could tell he was extremely pissed off because of his angry expression; the furrowed eyebrows and the tightness of his whole stance as he sat staring at the traffic in front. "Exactly. You know what just forget it? I only told you so you didn't think I was hiding something from you anyway."
