"Pizza's here!" My brother shouted from the front door and I stumbled out the bathroom. Him staying wasn't exactly part of my plan for the day but sometimes you need sibling bonding time. I grabbed my purse from the counter and met Matias at the door, where the poor delivery boy was standing awkwardly with two large pizza's and a garlic bread.

"That'll be fifteen, sixty." He told me as my brother grabbed the boxes out his hand and disappeared inside the apartment. I handed over the money before thanking him and shutting the door. The smell of cheesy goodness filled my nose and I lunged for the pizza. I stuffed a huge slice in my mouth and my brother looked at me in disgust.

"Pig." He stated, judging me, and I gave him a dirty look before wolfing another piece down.

"Why do you think Riley has suddenly just showed up?"  Matias asked as he took a sip of his Diet Coke.

"She said she's been searching for us for years apparently, her mother died a few years back and I don't think she has anyone else." I explained.

"It's just weird that it's not just the two of us anymore. It's always been us two; we're best friends and now everything is changing." Matias looked sad as he said this and it made me think harder about my reply. It had always been us. Even as kids we were close, and when I'd grown into my awkward teenage years, my little brother still continued to be a constant in my life. We didn't drift; I didn't yell at him to get out my room or complain when I had to babysit him. When I'd moved out and he grew into his teenage years, he texted me near enough everyday, if not he would call me and we'd talk for hours like you would a best friend. And now it wasn't going to be just the two of us.

"Matty, we're still going to be best-friends. The bond we have is unbreakable and the memories we have are untouchable, but now we get to have new memories. Just think, you'll have two older sisters now. It'll be a different kind of relationship we have with Riley because we didn't grow up knowing about each other. But you have to remember she grew up knowing nothing about us either. We need to see everything from her point of view. Because at the end of the day, the thing you're running from is the thing she's desperately trying to find."

"Why is your advice always so good?" Matias laughed.

"All part of the job." I replied cockily. "Giving advice is what I do for a living."
"I think I know what I want to be when I grow up." He stated. "I want to be a professional footballer." After ten years of being dragged along to his lessons, it was clear football was Matias's passion, and he was also really talented.

"Well it's something you'll have to work hard for." I advised and he nodded in agreement. Matias went to reply when my phone buzzed from in front of me and I picked it up.

"Is that your boyfriend?" He asked, a cheeky grin playing on his lips. I gave him a jokingly stern look and began to reply to the text. Jumping out his seat, Matias grabbed my phone from my hands and ran to the other side of the room. Chasing after him was no use because he was a million times faster than me. "Hey babe, I had a good time last night-"

I screamed as he started to read out the text and lunged over the sofa to catch him. Landing on top of him, I grabbed the phone out of his hand and smacked him round the head.

"You little shit!" I laughed as he attempted to defend himself but couldn't from the continuous giggling and the weight of me sitting on his stomach.

"What is going on in here?" We both whipped our heads round to see Gloria standing with her hand on her hip. I hadn't even heard her come in.

"Oh, hey G." I climbed off my brother and locked my phone before hiding it in my back pocket. "Where have you been all day?"
"Hey Gloria." My brother put on some kind of weird, smooth voice and smoldered at her. Matias had always had a little thing for Gloria ever since meeting her which was rather strange and a tad uncomfortable. Especially when at the time he was only ten and was hitting on an eighteen year old girl with pick up lines he'd heard from Disney Channel.

"Hey kiddo." She replied, shutting down any attempt he'd just made. I thought this kid had a girlfriend? Fuckboy. My fourteen year old brother is a fuckboy. "Where's Luke?"

God fucking dammit Gloria. "Who's Luke?" My brother chirped. "Is that who was texting you?"
"No. It's no one." I intersected, attempting to shut down this conversation.

"He was here this morning?" Gloria was just digging this hole deeper and deeper.

"So you slept with him?" Matias wiggled his eyebrows.

"See what you've done G." I sighed and threw myself down onto the sofa in a huff.
"So Luke is your new boyfriend?" Matias asked. I grabbed a pillow and buried my head into it; after a few seconds I started screaming into the pillow. To say I could be slightly over dramatic was an understatement.

And so then I had to explain to my fourteen year old brother how after two dates you really shouldn't have sex because you can't possibly know them well enough to get that close. But if you do decide then stay safe and use protection. Then I proceeded to give him the birds and the bees talk until he interrupted and told me that our father had already beat me to it when he was twelve, and also he wasn't a virgin anymore. And then I went on a full blown rant to him about there being a reason there was a law on age of legal sex. And then he went on to tell me that he, and I quote 'loves this girl', and only did it because he wanted to.' I suppose loads of people did it below the legal age, and there wasn't anything really wrong with that as long as it was consensual and you use protection, but at the same time, there's a legal age for a reason. Also if you're doing it with someone older, it's not only creepy but they could also go to prison.

So then Matias continued to ask about Luke and I's current status to which I could not confirm because we currently weren't really an official thing. We'd been on two dates, but afterwards I'd let him into my home and we'd spoke until all hours of the morning. I had met Luke all over again and he was a person I really liked.

I know it had literally only been a matter of days, four to be exact, but there was just something about Luke that made me enjoy his company. There wasn't the same tension before or the same angry feelings. It made me glad that as two different people, we had moved past everything. And he was also really good looking.

Mila, stop. Your getting ahead of yourself.

As I pulled myself back into reality, Matias was sitting making faces with those stupid Snapchat filters and adding loads of shit to my story. Grabbing my phone out his sweaty hands and glaring at him, I looked at what he'd all sent. Why does everyone look better with a dog filter? I seen he had sent unopened shit to Luke as well and I was slightly peeved. Now Luke was going to think I was some sort of psycho.

I turned my phone off and put it on the other side of the room. Luke didn't need to know I was that desperate.
