France Headcanons 1-50

Admin: I would just like to add that France is a precious cinnamon roll that needs protecting aka he's one of my favourite characters... So most of these Headcanons are gonna be in his favour! Sorry those that hate him, I can't stay mad at him ^^)/

1.) His middle name is Marie. He chose it because of Victor Hugo

2.) The BTT (France, Spain, and Prussia) love to watch jackass and are always trying to re-enact the stunts. It always ends badly. Francis has all the videos on his computer.

3.) Arthur took Matthew from Francis. So Francis took Alfred away from Arthur.

4.) When the last French monarch died, Antonio had a fleur-de-lis tattooed onto his left shoulder. Many people have seen the tattoo, but Francis is the only one who knows the true reason behind it.

Antonio chose it because the House of Bourbon is his ruling monarchy, but since it was the royal house originating from France, he did it in order to show Francis the monarchy was still powerful. Even though the French family was no longer around, there were (and are) still monarchs from the House ruling Spain. This was also Antonio's way of apologizing for neglecting Francis during their marriage. Antonio has only ever told this to Francis, who loves and respects him for permanently marking himself with the symbol of a royal house that isn't even from his own country as a sign of devotion and remorse. Anyone else who asks about the tattoo receives the excuse that it's simply because it represents the House of Bourbon

5.) Francis has serious trust issues.

6.) Francis cares deeply for those personifications that he considers family.

7.) Francis sends roses to every country on their birthday. He does it anonymously so the roses are not rejected by the countries that hate him.

8.) When Francis is drunk, he likes to sing the aria Habanera from Bizet's Carmen at the top of his lungs.

9.) When France gets drunk he still try's to pay with Francs

10.) On May 30th 1431 Joan of Arc was burned at the stake. Every year on this day, France visits the spot where her ashes were thrown and mourns for her death.

12.) Francis and Ivan are really close. It mostly stems from the fact that Francis watched Ivan grow up and the latter has respect for older nations.

13.) France is one of the most loyal boyfriends ever when in a relationship.

Francis and Italy absolutely adore each other they always have. they try to protect each other no matter what. they try to avoid having to hurt one another, even if they've both slipped up once or twice in the past. france makes italy feel safe, and that's why he calls him for anything he needs, no matter what time it is. france never complains about the phone calls, and he's always willing to meet up with him with a bottle of wine and a shoulder to lean on. his interest in italy is, and has always been, genuine, but italy is afraid to be with him because he can't stand the idea of him turning out like rome and hre.

17.) Francis and Scotland go ice skating together every New Year's Eve.

18.) Francis likes to pretend to be just like a normal human. He dates humans, and even has human friends that don't know he's a country. He also has a job as a hair dresser.

19.) England an France have been together for years. Everyone knows it but them.

20.) Francis, due to his sexual and flirtatious nature, has had many people accuse him of being a rapist. He plays it off as a joke. Inside, however, it really tears at him. He's seen the effects of rape and how people become; he would never able to inflict that on anybody. Even his worst enemy.

21.) Francis, Antonio, Gilbert and Ludwig argue over Italy a lot. Especially when they're drunk. It's usually in jest for France and Spain, but the Germans are known to take it a little too seriously.

22.) The day Austria and Spain got married, France cried.

25.) He's a lavish spender, even when he doesn't have the money

29.) France loves little children, but, being a nation he cannot truly have any of his own.

32.) France used to have Pierre intercept love letters so he could read them and pretend they're for him. He returned most of them but kept the incredibly dirty ones. Badly written letters would go into the first because he didn't think anyone deserves a bad love letter. He justified it by saying that he didn't have a love letter for himself. He had plenty of letters. He did this for the kicks.

33.) Sometimes Gilbert complains about having no friends... To Francis and Antonio.

34.) France mentioned he wanted to have a piercing. He now has one. Thanks to Prussia's tooth.

35.) He has a scar on the back of his neck from the French Revolution.

36.) As much as France and England hate to admit it. They are one another's best friend. When in doubt, they have the others back.

38.) Switzerland and France are cousins. But Switzerland would rather die than let anyone know about it. France just keeps it to himself to avoid trouble.

39.) Initially, the only reason he learnt English was to tease Arthur in his own language.

40.) France is extremely clever and has a great sense of humour. In a room full of nations he could say one thing and have most of then laugh out loud.

41.) He is a full blown diva at points.

42.) France and Prussia argue over who Spain likes more.

43.) Spain and Francis absolute best friends... With benefits. They love each other so much, as life long friends, but they just happen to have sex too. It's casual and they're both free to be in a serious romantic relationship with others.

44.) France and South Korea get along incredibly well. They will always have each other's backs no matter what.

45.) France never really had a childhood. Rome took it away from him. It's why he acts so childish now.

46.) Francis isn't a disgusting pervert or just a booty call. He's Matthew's beloved papa. This is one of the things that Matt will raise his voice over.

47.) At points, France is as about as sane as Russia

48.) France always values the innocence in others. He always feels as if it's his duty to protect it and his heart always breaks when he can't. He never wanted Canada to grow up, but now he's settled for defending Italy.

49.) He would simply have love rather than war.

50.) Francis calls himself a big brother to every European nation. Most, actually don't really mind it.
