.) Austria started World War 1, not Germany. He hates that his younger brother had to take all the blame and the severe punishment that resulted from the Treaty of Versailles. Since then, he has hated himself for not helping the German and will never accept forgiveness. For he believes that he does not deserve forgiveness.

.) Gilbert doesn't hate Roderich – far from it. But he fell from power so quickly, he fears the word "love."
Little does Gilbert know, Roderich feels the same, but he's had so many failed marriages he's afraid to try again with someone he loves so fiercely. So, for now, they dance around their feelings with their banter, afraid of what could be.

.) Historical accuracy notwithstanding, England and Austria would make great friends. Nothing more than friends however; they respect each other's gentlemanly ways.

.) Fem!Switerland and Fem!Austria bicker a lot, but they're a bit more levelheaded and less vehement than when their counterparts argue
