There was a blinding light and then the darkness. I tried so hard to figure out what had happened as I came to. It took a moment before I realised that there was no one else around. Granny's was empty; Mary Margaret and everyone who was here before; they were all gone.

.

"Hello?" I called out. No answer. "Hello?" I called again; still there was no response. "Grandma?" I ran upstairs and searched each and every room. Nothing was different except for the complete lack of human life.

.

At first I thought that maybe it was just Granny's Diner, but once I got out into the street I saw the abandoned town in it's entirety. "What is going on?" I mumbled to myself.

.

I gave it one last shot and called out for the two people I knew would never intentionally leave me here alone. "Mom? Mom?" If they could hear me, they would find me. It was sort of something that runs in our family, but there was just silence. "Anyone? Anyone at all?" I yelled, but the silence remained.

.

This didn't make sense. How could almost every single resident in Storybrooke just disappear in a matter of seconds unless... and that's when it all fell into place. "The Author." I said aloud. He must have rewritten everyone's stories. "They're in The Enchanted Forest." Or a version of it at least. It's the only thing that seemed plausible and if I was going to fix this and get my family back then I needed to find The Author.

.

I knew what I had to do. I made my way to the sheriff's station and logged on to my mom's computer. It was going so slow. "Come on. Come on." I urged and it took a few minutes but finally the home screen appeared. I clicked on the little Google icon and began typing.

                                                                                 I.S.A.A.C. H.E.L.L.E.R.

And there he was. He wasn't just The Author any more; he was a best selling, award winning author who had a book signing at a local bookstore of his newest novel; Heroes and Villains. That's where I would find him.
