009 - Chapter Nine

This has absolutely no relation to this novel whatsoever but this is super important to my life. A close friend of mine (Maya, from @.jagmacnews on Instagram) lost her mother yesterday. Having heard so many amazing stories about her mother - it's such a tragedy to find out about her mother's passing. Please just pray or just think about her mother and how much she had meant to a vital member of our Fandom.
RIP Maya's mother. Who tragically left our world on the 8th of May 2016. Im always here for you, Maya.❤❤
This chapter is very short because it's basically an add on to the last chapter aye

Eleanor grinned as she was setting up the front room for the sleepover with her best friends. They would be camping out in the front room alongside Jared.

She wore a new onesie that she ordered online a couple of weeks ago. It was a totoro onesie - from the anime My Neighbour Totoro.

It was still her birthday and as usual, she got nothing from her parents. Not even a small happy birthday email. She made it seem as though it never bothered her. But in reality, she was slowly breaking away inside. If her nan ever passes away, she has nobody. No family that live anywhere near her for a small talk.

It was now 8pm and the girls were scheduled to arrive in exactly thirty minutes time. Eleanor smiled lightly and set up the anime box sets before getting the snacks on the table. There was a large glass bowl full of sweets, two large packets of doritos and two large bottles of lemonade.

Jared then came downstairs in a robin T shirt and some pyjama bottoms. He then plonked himself down on the sofa, next to her and placing an arm around her shoulders.

"Hey." Jared grinned lightly, dragging out the Y.

"Heya." She replied as she cuddled into his side, a quiet yawn escaping her lips. Today had been quite the busy day.

"So, what are you most looking forward to trying out of the lush stuff that I got you?" Jared asked, his fingers running up and down her side lightly.

"Probably the Twilight Shower Gel." She replied with a small grin before blushing and laying her head down on his chest.

"I heard that Emma Blackery loves it." Jared smiled lightly down at her.

"Yeah, she got it changed to her name once." Eleanor smiled lightly as she hummed quietly.

"That's so cool." He smiled brightly. Soon enough, the three girls stumbled in, wearing pyjamas. Jess wore some spongebob square pants pyjamas, Liv wore a new onesie that was just plain and Sophie wore some baggy clothes.

"Yo lads. Which one shall we watch first?" Eleanor asks them.

"Watch Free! I watch it on Crunchyroll. I got the non dubbed version because dubbed stuff on anime just completely and utterly ruins it for everyone." Sophie grinned before sitting down on the floor, where some of the pillows were.

Jess had a blanket on the other sofa whilst Sophie and Liv had to share an air bed on the floor. Jared and Eleanor were on the other sofa.

"Eleanor?" Mike asked from the door way. "Can I see you in my office please?" He asked before Eleanor began to grumble lightly to herself, dragging her corpse towards the office. She then sat down on the swivel chair, spinning herself around lightly.

"Eleanor. I have a question to ask you." He said as he sat on one of the still chairs, at the side of the office.

"What's up Mikey?" She asked jokingly.

"A new girl is moving here in two days. There are no more bedrooms that are vacant for the new girl so, since you're such a lovely young girl - she will be moving into half of your bedroom. Tomorrow morning, we will have to move some of your things around as well as moving in a bed, wardrobe, drawers and desk and chair." He smiled lightly.

"Can you tell me about this girl before I meet her?" Eleanor asked as she folded her arms and leaned back slightly.

"Her name is Rosie Hidgeford. She's sixteen years old. Thats all I'm allowed to say. If she wants you to know why she is here - she can tell you herself." Mike smiled lightly before ushering the girl back to the living room.

"Hey lads." Eleanor grinned before sitting down on the sofa beside Jared, cuddling into his side lightly.

They then pressed play on the TV and began to watch the anime together.

The clock soon chimed to be 1 o'clock in the morning.

"So, how did you enjoy your birthday?" Jared asked the girl with a small grin.

"A hell of a lot." She replied before laying her head on his shoulder lazily, her eyes slowly fluttering closed like butterflies about to fall asleep.

"That's good." Jared smiled lightly as he then pressed his lips against the top of her head softly.

The two then slowly began to fall asleep side by side, with episodes of Free! playing on a constant repeat.
