I felt like a failure four days ago,
It's impossible to lie about something so close,
Like the knife to my heart,
I had placed in my chest,
Day after day I had lost so much rest.
If I felt like a failure before then I certainly do now,
I tried so hard but was it worth it to devout,
My precious time into something,
When the possibilities were against me?
There's pressure in my lungs as they sharply inhale.
A large shadow was left cast and I had no time to kill,
Too many shoes that I felt the need to fill,
My expectations were too high,
I know of this now when they rejected my efforts,
All of the ties they had severed.
The most difficult obstacle is how to deal with failure,
Not to get jealous when they didn't choose me and chose her,
Even though I knew that it wouldn't be fair.
There is still a lot I feel I could have done better,
When I sent in that video and letter.
Failure is the most important aspect to learn from,
because it has made me stronger than ever before.
