Chapter 2

Almost Is Never Enough

I started to strum my guitar. Naiinip na kasi ako!

Usapan kasi naming anim na magkita-kita ngayong uwian sa lovers' lane. Pag-uusapan namin ang kung ano-ano tungkol sa banda at balak ko na sanang pumayag na sumali sa kanila.

Kaso... naghahanap pa ako ng sapat na rason para sumali.

Narinig ko na ang pamilyar na tono ng theme song ko para sa'ming dalawa kaya nag-umpisa na akong kumanta.

Alam ba ng lahat kung bakit sumuko ka na sa'kin? Sa'tin? At ako lang ang tanga na wala pa ring alam na dahilan mo?

It was never enough, Rouge. Parang pinatikim mo lang ako ng pagmamahal na hindi nagtatagal. Pinagmukha mo rin akong tanga sa mata ng lahat.

At ang nakakainis? Hindi ko kayang magalit sa'yo.

Nagulat ako nang biglang may tumabi sa'king lalaki at siya ang kumanta ng part ni Nathan Sykes. Napansin ko rin na may mga nanonood na pala sa'kin kanina pa.
