Chapter 65

Diamond

"Cruze......Cruze"! I called. He was starring at me with a blank stare. I knew that he wasn't dead, but it probably felt like it to him. He was slipping in and out of consciousness and coughing up blood. I had to get him to a hospital and fast before I would lose him. I slapped his face a little bit. "Cruze". I called again shaking him, but he wasn't responding the way I wanted him to. I could start to see his eyes flutter and roll to the back of his head. My tears flew out of my eyes one after another. "Baby don't leave me here alone. We got a baby to take care of". I said through tears and standing to my feet. I grabbed my two guns and shoved them in the back of my pants and prepared myself to save my husband. I wasn't going to lose him again. I cupped my hands just under his armpits and started to drag his body to the door of the study. I could hear him coughing which left me with hope that he would make it. He was so heavy and it took allot of my strength to drag him, but I managed to get him to the door when I suddenly felt a hand grip my ankle. I looked down at Mondese with fury in my eyes. Seeing his two other friends dead and him still alive put me in an anger that no one could tame.

"Allister". He coughed. "Allister set you....up".

"I know that now". I said angrily.

"He's my olda brotha....and when he found out that yall wanted....to kill me, he phoned me up and we planned for this to happen, but I had no idea that you were going.....to kill him". Tears were still strolling down my cheeks as I pulled one of my nines from my pants. I aimed it down at Mondese and he could see the fire in my eyes.

"I've been wantin' to kill you for a long time". I said through clenched teeth. "You were just a jealous son of a bitch. You killed some of my soldiers, you killed my ex-boyfriend, and then you went after my best friend Gin. Now...I guess it's my husband. All for what? Because yo bitch ass couldn't accept the fact that I was a famale and was doin' shit better than you. I had better cars.......a better house........and better people on my team. You just couldn't accept that I was the top female baller in the game. Me".

"Diamond...please....please don't do this. Please don't kill me. I'm sorry.....I did not know that he was your husband".

"Tell it to my nine". Pap! My bullet shot through Mondes's forehead faster than lightening. I had finally killed him and wasn't even happy about it. I looked back down at Cruze who was still fighting for his life. I had to hurry before he would die on me. Seeing him like this just made me so sad. My face crumpled up and tears started to sting my eyes as they flooded down my face. I quickly dragged Cruze out of Allister's house with all of my might trying not to hurt him as I drug him down the concrete stairs. As much as I wanted to stop and take a break, I kept dragging Cruze until I made it across the street to our car. I opened the back door and used all of my strength to pick up the top half of his body and put him in the back seat. Then I picked up his legs and pushed them in too. I got into the drivers seat, started the car then sped off toward the nearest hospital. It took me about a good ten minutes to get there. I kept having to look back at Cruze every time I heard him cough up more blood. I quickly sped my car through the parking lot and came to a sudden hault just in front of the ER. I got out of my car then started to jump and scream for help. "HELP! HELP! MY HUSBAND HAS BEEN SHOT"!! I screamed. I got some nurses to look over at me then I seen some of them rush over to my car with a gurney. I had been crying to hard and jumping around so much because my body felt like shit afterwards. I just wanted to rest, but not with my husband's life on the line. I ran with the gurney as the nurses rushed him into the hospital. I couldn't stop crying or worrying, but it seemed like the whole hospital had to hold me back when they were rushing Cruze away from me. I just thanked God that he made it this far.
