Chapter 59

Diamond

After a long shower, I rubbed on lotion, put on under clothes, and slid on a silk nightie. I pinned my hair up, put Vaseline on my lips, and sprayed on some perfume. I felt so clean and refreshed. I made myself comfortable under the covers and turned the lamp off that was on the end table. It felt good to be back in LA, but I also remembered the horrors that went on in this city with Royale and the Russian Mafia. When I realized that I still had this town house, I knew that this was where me and Cruze needed to be. I sat in the darkness just thinking about him. All the fighting that we had did this morning was because that I couldn't accept the fact that he truly loved me, and after being separated for so long, he never stopped. All the niggas that I have ever dated only wanted to hurt me. Royale had baby moms with new born babies  at his funeral so the nigga had been cheating on me on the low, and Ludah was only there for sex and so was Columbus. Cruze was different. He wasn't like any man I've ever encountered. He seemed like he would be so loyal to me. He seemed like the kind of man that would die for and love their woman through thick and thin. I had hurt and confused him so many times these past couple of months that I was actually starting to feel bad. I really did love him, but I just didn't know how to show that love and affection towards him again. We weren't teenagers anymore and he needed to accept that. I knew that Cruze probably wasn't comfortable down stairs all by himself. I wondered if he was thinking about getting comfortable with me, but that would be out of the question to ask him if he wanted to cuddle. I reached over and turned on the lamp. I got out of the soft bed and crept down the stairs to see Cruze sprawled out over my brown sofa on his stomach with only basketball shorts on. I smiled at his body build. I then crept to the kitchen and opened the refrigerator to see that Cruze had done good with the grocery shopping. I pulled out a 2-liter of Pepsi. I poured me a glass and added a little Vodka to it. I then plopped two ice cubes in it and leaned over the counter top of my bar to watch Cruze sleep. Out of no where, Cruze turned his head in my direction. "Whatchu lookin at"? He asked smiling.

"You". I said sipping on my drink.

"It's almost twelve in the morning....whatchu drinkin' for"?

"Just needed a little buzz". I said.

"Well I want some". Cruze said getting up and coming to the kitchen. I starred hard at his muscular physique. The eight pack was ridiculously turning me on. He wasn't big and buff, but he was just right. I watched him make himself a drink then lean in next to me.

"This is nice". He said as we listened to the fish tank sputter.

"I know". I say. "Bought this town house when I first moved up here. That was about a good five or six years ago. I got allot of memories here". Cruze looked at me.

"Your so independent. You didn't need me, I needed you". He says making me blush. I finished my drink. It wasn't powerful enough to get me out of my element like I wanted, but it was good enough. I put my glass in the sink and turned around to lean my back against it.

"I put allot of hard work into this drug game shit when I should be out in college puttin' hard work into that". I said.

"It's okay Diamond. This may have not been your dream, but it worked out. Shit, you lived the highest life in expensive places, driving expensive cars, rockin' expensive shit, you got your own helicopter, still gettin' money, and plus....................you every man's dream". He said putting his fingers under my chin and lifting my head up to look at him. I blushed then pushed his hand away.

"Look". I say. "It's late, I'm going to bed".

"Aight". Cruze said as I turned to go upstairs to my room, but to my surprise, he followed. I turned around in shock.
