Chapter twenty six - Addicted To You

*Faith pov*

I woke to my phone buzzing in my pocket. My eyes flickered opened and I took out my phone. One new text message from Sara.

'Hey! Feels like I haven't talked to you in forever! How are you? - Sara'

'Hey, I'm ok. I'm just tired from everything - Faith'

'Aww, you should get some sleep. Mom wants Josh home soon anyways - Sara'

'What? - Faith'

'Can you tell Josh he needs to be home soon? - Sara'

'Uh, he's not here...? He said Corlynn needed him home this afternoon for a family thing. He left here around five - Faith'

"What's with the confused face?" Matt asked with a chuckle as he paused the movie.

"I'm just talking to Sara."

"What's up?"

"Josh lied to me." I mumbled, keeping my eye on my conversation with Sara.

"Huh?" I ignored Matt and turned back to texting.

'He's not there? What? He said he was at your place all day! Where is he then? - Sara'

'I don't know. I'm with Matt, I'll text him and find him. Tell Corlynn not to worry about it - Faith'

'When you find him, punch him and say it's from me - Sara'

"Hello?" Matt said. "What were you saying?" He asked.

"Josh said he was having a family thing but he told his family he was here all day." I said, getting frustrated.

"So, no one knows where he is?" I shook my head and Matt took out his phone and we both used our phones.

'Where are you Josh? You lied to me and your mom and dad. Can you at least tell me where you are? - Faith'

I put my phone down violently on the coffee table and looked at Matt who was texting somebody.

Oh my god, what if he's cheating on me with someone? I'm not good enough? Why is that a surprise. I always knew I wasn't.

"Is he cheating on me?" I asked quietly. Matt put his phone is his lap.

"What? No way. He would never do that." His phone dinged and he picked it up. "I know where he is, come on." Matt got up.

"Wait? Where is he?" I asked, standing up.

"One of my friends are at a party and he saw Josh."

"Are you kidding me?" I asked angrily.

"I know he lied to everyone and you're probably really mad but just don't assume all these crazy things, ok?" I glared at him.

"Just take me to where he is." I told him.

"Faith-"

"Matt, please." I cut him off. Matt walked to the front and grabbed his keys and I followed him, slipping on my shoes.

Just Josh lying to me pisses me off. He tells me everything. I know his deepest darkest secrets and he knows mine. And he can't even tell me he's going to a party? It's not like I'd say 'no, don't go'. I'd let him go only if he promises me he wouldn't go kiss another drunken girl. What if he's doing that right now? Maybe he just forgot about me and grabbed the next hot girl he sees.
