Chapter thirty - Thunder Storm

*Faith pov*

I went to the door and opened it to the outside, stormy world. I looked up to see a guy. A familiar guy. His dark brown hair was soaked, falling in front of his face in thick strands. A long, thin cut was running along his cheek bone for some reason, but it's healing now. His clothes are soaking and over his shoulder was a plain black gym bag. I can see those bright blue eyes from a mile away.

"Hi." He said with guilt.

I looked at him with a blank expression, but I feel confused for some reason. So many feelings floated around my body. After about a week, my heart started to recover, piece by piece it got glued together by that crappy school glue but I felt it crack again.

I took a breath and turned around and shut the front door, harder than I should've. I locked it.

"Faith, wait, please?" Josh said. He jiggled the door handle, trying to get in. He knocked quietly. "Faith?" I clenched my fists then ran my fingers through my hair, digging them into my skull. I sat on the couch, not knowing what to do or even think. This is one of my weird dreams, right?

I grabbed my phone and looked at it. What am I doing? Gonna call Matt? What is he gonna do? I threw my phone beside me and turned off the TV. What do I do!?

"Faith, please? Can I explain?"

"There's nothing to explain! Leave, Josh!" I yelled.

"You have every right to be mad at me, but just let me explain. You can be mad at me after too but just let me talk." I didn't say anything. I sat there, staring at the door. "I'm not leaving until you let me explain." He told me.

He's bluffing.

I sat there, not knowing what to think still. It's been five minutes and it's been quiet outside. He can't just walk into my house after what he did! He's been gone for a week and he decides to just come back and walk into my house? Um, no. That's not gonna happen.

I stood up and went over to the window. I moved the curtains, looking outside if he was still there. He was. He's sitting on the top step with his bag beside him. It's still raining hard and he's sitting there, not caring at all. He ran his fingers through his hair and shook his head, getting some water out.

I'm gonna regret this.

I opened the door and stood there. Josh turned his head then stood up with his bag in hand, seeing that I gave in.

"Babe, p-"

"Don't call me that." I snapped, cutting him off. His eyes looked into mine and I glared at him. His eyes have dark circles, like he hadn't sleep for nights.

"I'm sorry." He told me. "For everything." For a second, I felt like running into his arms. But then I remembered... I can't and I'm not going to. Josh walked closer to me then walked past me into my house. He dropped his bag on the mat and I closed the door, surprised that he had the guts to walk into my house. He turned around and kicked off his shoes. His hands were shaking as he ran them through his hair, looking a purple-blue. "Ok..." He paused. "I-I'm sorry." He paused again, looking at me as I stared at him. "It was just... I don't know how it happened."

"You don't know how it happened!? What do you mean!? You've been seeing her for at least four days before I caught you with her!" I said angrily.

"Well-..."

"Just admit it! I pretty much already know."

"Ok, I've KNOWN her for a while."
