Making Up For Lost Time

Rey's feet landed on the ground as she looked around at her surroundings. She was back from training with Luke.

She had convinced Luke to come back to the base and she succeeded in doing so.

Rey had been gone for six months for Jedi training. Five and a half months ago, she heard that Finn woke up but she never got the chance to go see him. The whole ride back, she was shaking out of excitement.

Rey inhaled the exquisite scent of the air as she walked into the base and saw Luke and General Organa having an emotional reunion.

She smiled to herself as General Organa walked over to Rey and engulfed her in her arms. After Rey met General Organa, she had always been close to her. It was like a mother and daughter relationship.

"Rey, I missed you so much." General Organa released Rey from the tight hug.

"I missed you too, General Organa." Rey smiled.

"Please, you can call me Leia." General Organa, I mean, Leia said as she smiled at me.

"Go find Finn. He missed you the most out of everyone here."

Rey nodded and started walking down the hall towards the room she stayed in before she left to go find Luke Skywalker.

She found the room but stopped at the doorway. Finn was standing in front of the large window, looking out towards the rest of the base.

She smiled as she walked up to him and put a hand on his shoulder. Finn slowly turned around and his eyes widen.

"Rey." He smiles and instantly wraps his arms around her waist, lifts her up, and spins her around a couple times. She has her arms around his neck as she's laughing.

He sets her down and sees her laughing.

"You have no idea how much I missed you." He says with his hands still on her waist.

"I missed you too." She smiled and brought him in for another hug. He tightened his arms around her waist, signaling that he never wanted to let go.

She blushed and pulled back so she could see his face.

"You're squeezing my waist." Rey tried to say even though she was giggling.

He smiles and pulls her close, gently pressing his lips to hers.

Rey's heart exploded with happiness as the kiss progressed. She smiled into the kiss as her cheeks turned a bright red.

They pulled away and she blushed harder.

"What was that for?" She smiled.

"My little Rey of sunshine, I was just making up for lost time." He said and kissing her once again.
