Rey & Finn: One Shots

Happy New Year

11:30 pm

Rey bit her lip, lightly. This was her first time spending New Years Eve with Finn. They've been dating for about six months but haven't kissed yet. She was honestly nervous. Usually, on New Years Eve, a normal couple would kiss to kickoff the new year.

Finn came in the living room and put an arm around her shoulder as he kissed her cheek. He couldn't wait to kiss her lips at midnight. He was going to surprise her with a kiss. She was always nervous when it came to kissing and typically refused to kiss anyone. He wanted to kiss and propose.

He had a camera that would automatically start filming a minute before countdown. It was set up next to the tv but Rey couldn't see it.

"I'm so happy to be spending the new year with you." He said, planting a kiss on the back of her neck since her hair wasn't in the way cause it was up in a messy bun.

"Me too." Rey mumbled, trying to be happy about it. Finn turned her around by her waist and looked at her.

"What's wrong, babe?" He asked.

"I'm just nervous for the new year. My recent boyfriends from a couple years ago dumped me at the beginning of New Years for new girlfriends since it was a new year. They wanted a fresh start. They kept me for the year but dumped me when the year was over. I don't want you to do that." She said, feeling a tear go down her cheek.

"Rey, I would never dump you for a fresh start. You mean the world to me, okay?" He assured her as she nodded. He gripped her waist and kissed her forehead.

11:45 pm

"15 minutes." She murmured as she sat down on the couch. He sat down next to her and wrapped an arm around her shoulder. She leaned her head on his shoulder as he kissed her hair.

11:59 pm

Finn was super nervous as the hidden camera started filming. He stood up from where he was sitting with Rey.

"Anything wrong?" She said as she stood up and placed her hands on his shoulders.

"No, I'm just happy to start the New Year with you." He said, happily as the countdown began.

5, 4, 3, 2, 1

As the people on TV shouted, "Happy New Year!" to everyone, Finn grabbed Rey's hips, pulled her close, and crashed his lips onto hers.

Rey was surprised at first, but when she realized it was kiss, she kissed back. The kiss was full of passion and love.

They pulled apart and Finn gently rested his hands on Rey's hips.

"Rey, I love you so much. I'm so happy to be here with you right now. You are amazing, beautiful, exquisite, kind, and full of life. You make me so happy and I'm so glad that you are in my life." He slowly got down on one knee and took out the little black box and opened it as Rey covered her mouth with her hands. She felt tears go down her cheeks.

"Rey, will you marry me?" He asked as Rey was speechless for a few moments.

"Yes!! I'll marry you." She said while Finn slid the ring on her finger, stood up, and pressed his lips to hers. They broke apart after a few moments and hugged each other tightly. She had her arms around his neck while his were around her waist.

"I love you so much, Rey." He whispered into her ear.

"I love you so much too, Finn." She whispered back.

"Happy New Year, beautiful." He said, making her smile and blush. They were both happy to kick off the New Year with their first kiss and knowing that they are going to spend the rest of their lives with one another.

ive been up since 12:30 am cause apparently God won't let me sleep😡

i decided to pass the time & write a one shot cause im nice😊

yesterday was daisy's birthday & i was so happy and in the good & energetic vibe that my parents suggested that i go to a mental hospital 😂😂

when i told them that it was daisy's bday, they finally understood and just left me alone🤘🏼

have an amazing rest of day even tho its mourning monday & fall asleep in school cause spring break is over (not really😂)
