new boy || shawn mendes fanfiction (completed)

Dallas-day one//.

4hrs and 25minutes later we were standing at the cycle thing where your belongings come, we were currently waiting for Manny's suitcase.
It's was 3pm (time difference) I texted a quick 'I'm okay' to my mom and followed the guys to the main entrance as we were all meeting there at 2:45pm but our plane took longer than expected.
"scar"
The familiar voice screamed, I turned around seeing Madison screaming my name, receiving glares from tired travellers. She dropped her stuff and came running to me and gave me a big hug, I hug back just as tight as I could.
I missed Maddison a lot, out of them all I missed Jack Johnson and her the most.
"It's be so long"
She said as she quickly picked up her belongings.
"I know"
I say while chuckling. I turned around to see everybody else walking over to us and to see Emma and Cameron hugging, I laugh at them both.
"Scarletttt"
Jack J says coming up to my and giving me a hug.
"Jackkkkk"
I say mimicking his tone and we both laugh.
We then greet everybody and talk for a little bit until Bart tells us there's a limo waiting outside for us to drive us to the hotel. For my opinion I think it's a bit to much but I go along with it anyways.

On they way to the hotel I'm sitting in between Shawn and Jack J. Which is good company, everybody was either in conversations or vining.
I was on snap, Instagram & Twitter just checking what's going on.
I've gained so many followers over the past month which is quite cool, i guess.
"Let's take a picture guys!"
Nash yells as everybody try's to struggle into the photo, we all make stupid faces which made us all laugh. Then everybody went back to what thy were doing, unsociable people.
I posted it on Instagram & Twitter saying:
Day one~Dallas! Magcon should be fun!❤️😌
Which got loads of likes and comments within minutes which kinda crazed me out.
Loads of comments came flooding through saying "are you and Shawn dating?"
I pondered on the thought of why'd they think that, I then looked at the photo, Shawn had his arm around me.
Obviously it doesn't mean your dating but for fans a simple thing like this makes them think whatever, you know.
Shawn looked over my shoulder and chuckled.
"look! People made us a ship name"
He said laughing pointing to one of the comments, I just playfully rolled my eyes at him and carried on going through my feed as I was in loads of tags from the boys.
Eventually we arrived at the hotel which was covered in fans they were literally everywhere. The whole front entrance was covered, every single spot. Security had to make a little walk way for us all to actually get in the building, I sighed at how packed it was.
I was surprised because I didn't even know what hotel we were going to but yet they somehow find out.
I'm not great with big crowds so it made me feel a little up tight.
We excited the limo and headed in, obviously the boys stopping to take photos and to talk to the fans, it was amazing at how much they interact with all of their fans, they do treat them like family. Everyone's going to be so sad when they tell them the news.
"hey can I have a photo?"
A girl who looked a couple years younger asked me, I raised an eyebrow at her.
"Me?"
I ask pointing to myself.
"Yes please"
She said as she opens up her snapchat camera.
I smiled for the photo, squinting because of the sunlight.
"Thanks so much!"
She says as she go to try and get a photo with a different boy, I felt loved.
Somebody wanted a photo with me. I'm nothing special I don't have a talent but I felt special.
The crowd started pushing and getting cramped, I felt my breathing hitched so I needed to head inside.
I quickly ran up to Shawn and tapped him.
"Hey Scarlett, wait are you okay?"
He asked as a rush of worry appears on his face.
"Hey! Can I have a photo with both of you?"
A fan ask, I mentally sigh. Trying to not be rude I quickly smile for the photo.
My breathing was getting worse so I tried to take a few breaths before it got worse.
"I just n-need to go inside"
I say slowly trying to calm myself down before anything happens.
"Okay I'm com-"
I shook my head.
"No stay, meet your fans"
I say as I quickly hurry off inside the building.
I slowly shut the door and my whole body relaxes as the sound of screaming fans was muffled.
I sat down on one of the waiting chairs next to manny.
"Hey, are you okay?"
He asks as he looks up from his phone.
"Yeah, big crowds just aren't my thing"
I say reassuring him.
Why would I come if big crowds aren't my thing, may you ask? I have no clue.
"Are you sure your okay? Do you want some water?"
He asks giving my a simple smile.
"No honest I'm okay!"
I say laughing quietly.
He sighs in relief.
After ten minutes everybody comes in and we head up to our hotel rooms, there are two rooms. One for boys and the other for girls which are directly next to each other which is good.
We walked in and we all threw our suitcases on each bed choosing which one we wanted, mine was by the window.
The hotel room was massive it had 5 single beds but it was so spacious.
Madison, Emma, Kayla (Nash best friend), Mahogany and I.
"This is going to be so good"
Madison says as she opens up her suitcase and gets her bikini out.
We were meeting the boys at the swimming pool in 10 minutes.
I took out my bikini and sighed, I really didn't want to show my stomach.
"Hey! You have the perfect figure"
Emma says coming up behind me with her bathing suit in her hands, I gave her a small smile.
I took out my bathing suit and walked into the bathroom and quickly changed.
Once I changed I looked into the mirror and sighed, I wished I had a good figure like everyone else here.
I mentally slapped my self and told my self:
'you are here to have fun not to be insecure'
I slowly walked out the bathroom and walked over to my suitcase and
grabbed shawn's sweater to put over my bathing suit while we walk there.
I started putting my sandals on and everyone came out all dressed and ready. I then put my sunglasses on.
