Charlie
Groaning in pain I try and lift my head only to feel a surge of pain in my temples.
"Ssh, it's okay, lay down." A large hand pushed my shoulders back down, a weird sensation taming the pain I felt all over. But as soon as the feeling was there it was gone. I let out a tiny whine as the pain comes back full force.
"Wait...Dec, do that again." A familiar voice whispers. I send out a tiny thanks to whoever spoke, the sensational feeling back once again. Now the pulses where coming up from my hand. If I concentrated hard enough I could make out a large rough hand gripping mine ever so gently. Out of instinct my fingers wrap around the man's large hand. I try with all my strength to squeeze the hand in my own.
"That's is, love. Come on, just squeeze one more time." His voice made me want to go back sleep, it was so soothing.
"Ssh! You're making her fall back asleep!" Mason? Was that my Mason?
"I suggest you shut your mouth, pup." The once calm and loving voice was now dark and hostile making the hairs on my arm raise. From fear I wasn't sure, but his voice sure did have a huge effect on my body.
What is even going on?
Trying to remember the past events, all I'm left with is that I was running through the woods terrified out of my mind. It was like last year all over again. Afraid of reliving my father's death my eyes snap open, a tiny gasp leaving my body. My whole being was heavy and I felt something tight around my chest.
"Charlie?" My head instinctively turns to the left at that alluring voice. What I come face to face with is not what I expected.
"De-Declan?" My voice cracks pathetically at the end, my hand shooting to my throat.
"Here, drink up," Looking away from the handsome blonde to my side I see the one and only Waverley. My heart squeezes at the sight I see. Her once made up face was bare and her eyes were puffy and red. "You gave me a scare there. I thought-" A loud growl cuts her off. Jumping at the noise my heart goes into panic mode, the growl triggering a panic inside me.
"Hey, calm down. I'm sorry, it's okay." The hand in mind squeezes me making me realize it was Declan's hand I was holding onto for dear life. Blushing uncontrollably, I slip my hand out of his, grasping the water cup Waverley was still holding out to me. With two hands firmly holding the cup I sip greedily, loving the way the cool water eased my throat.
"Easy there tiger." Out of the corner of my eye, I see Mason on my other side, his eyes tired and heavy. Giggling softly I set the cup down in my lap, now empty.
"I'll get you some more." I faintly hear Waverley mumble, taking the cup from my hands. I feel slightly panicky not knowing what to do with my hands, I can practically feel them itchy to hold Declan's.
He has such nice hands...
"How are you feeling?" Declan asked softly, his hand reaching out. I almost flinched away at his touch but as soon as his fingers graced my skin I practically melted into his hands like pudding.
"I'm...okay." I sounded breathless, like my oxygen was getting sucked from my lungs the more I stared into Declan's misty green eyes. It was like I was drawn to him. I could feel my body aching to lean forward, but as soon as I so much as tried I felt a stinging pain in my chest making me cry out.
