Charlie

"Charlie..Do you believe in werewolves?"

The question seemed to swim around in my mind, hitting every corner of my brain, but every time I tried to even comprehend his words I was met with nothing. It's like the words werewolf and believe were never in my vocabulary.

"Char?" Mason stands beside Declan, looking at me worriedly. I blink up at him, my body unresponsive.

Werewolves.

The word was non existent but the memories lodging at the back of my mind were telling me something else. Images of that fateful night find me once again and I'm left with thinking, 'were those werewolves?'. The more I thought about these beast like animals, the more I felt like I was missing something. What happened? What are the marks on my chest? Are those from a werewolf?

What even is a werewolf?

"Uhm," Everyone leaned in as if hanging off my every word. "What is a werewolf? Aren't they just regular wolves?"

I knew that answer, but I didn't have any facts to back it up. I was missing stuff. Half my memory was missing. The more I thought about the missing puzzle pieces the more annoyed I got. The blankets tucked around my body started to itch at my body. Huffing in annoyance I yank the sheets away from my body making the doctor jump at my sudden movements.

"Luna you must-"

"My name isn't Luna!" Something snaps inside me, my irritation hitting the roof. I had no memory of how the heck I got here. I was confused by this werewolf question and to top it off this lady keeps calling me Luna! Does she not hear that my name is Charlie?

I could feel something prickling at my arm. Looking down I see an IV hooked up to me. Why am I here? Angrily, I yank the IV out making everyone gasp.

"Babe, stop-" Declan goes to stop me but I jerk away narrowing my eyes at him.

"I'm not your 'babe'. My name isn't 'Luna'. I don't know what a 'werewolf' is and I certainly don't remember how I even got here in the first place! No one is telling me anything! I'm confused!" Jumping off the side of the bed I run straight for the door. Either everyone was too shocked to move, or I was too quick. I didn't care, I just wanted to get out of this place. The air seemed to suffocate me the more I thought about everything! My chest hurt from breathing and my legs ached from running.

Dashing out the hospital I'm met with trees. Endless amounts of trees. The parking lot was small and only 4 cars were here.

Where the heck am I even at?

"Charlie! Wait please!" Swirling around I see everyone hustling out of the double doors. Declan looking beyond worried. "Look, we'll explain everything after the doctor-"

"I want to know now!" I angrily stomp my bare foot against the concert. Not caring that I looked like a spoiled brat or the fact the action sent a shooting pain up my leg. I just wanted to know what happened to me. "Why am I here?" I cross my arms watching Declan frantically look around at everyone beside him. His eyes met with Mason and it seemed like they were sharing a silent conversation before Mason sighed heavily.

"Char, what's the last thing you remember?"

"We were by that river. But then these wolves came out of no where. They seemed angry. I don't remember much but I just remember running away." My eyes furrow in deep thought. What happened after that?
