Declan
Watching Charlie walk out of that dressing room in that blue floral print romper in those ridiculously cute yellow heels was the second best thing my eyes have ever seen. The first being the time I saw Charlie for the first time.
"So?" Charlie did a little spin and for a split second I considered telling her to go back and change because god damn did her ass look good in that outfit. The extra height she was given made her appear slightly older, and the dress complimented her gorgeous blue eyes. Even though her bandages covered what would have been her cleavage, I knew for sure that if she ever wore that dress again once healed, I'll have trouble keeping my eyes up. She was breath taking.
"It's-" My hesitation worried Charlie and I could see her wanted to shrink away. My wolf whined within me. "Gorgeous. You're absolutely stunning." Her pale little cheeks flushed a deep pink and she tried to duck her head down to hide the redness, but no matter what she did I saw it and it brought me satisfaction knowing the affect I had on her. "Get it." She snapped her head up, those little eyes widening.
"Oh no! This romper is like-" She stopped to pull the price tag up to her face. "forty dollars! And the shoes are probably close to thirty. I couldn't-"
"What did I say earlier" Charlie purses her lips together, the space between her eyebrows wrinkling together making her face appear like a child's when they're told no.
"Fine. Whatever. But if you go bankrupt don't blame me!" My mate stomps away the heels clicking at every angry step. Laughing at her retreating figure I turn to go find Mason but he was right there.
"Jesus!" Mason let's out a low chuckle and I almost smiled if it wasn't for the fact my wolf still didn't like him at the moment. I was always fond of Mason. He's loyal and became exceptional friends with Liam and Amy. I was surprised Amy and him weren't mates, they would have been a nice couple, definitely have smart pups. Mason was my fastest in the pack along with five others, and Amy had an amazing sense of smell that only one other person in the whole pack can match up to. But he's still young, not even 18 yet, so for now it's just Amy.
"What is it Mason?" I didn't mean to sound snippy, it's not like I hated Mason, but so far my mate liked him more than me. My wolf saw competition.
"Just came to check on y'all, but I see everything was going alright." Mason sensed my wolf's uneasiness and tried to appear submissive; eyes to the floor, head slightly tilted, and shoulders relaxed. It helped the slightest but it didn't ease my Alpha wolf. I didn't want to be like this towards Mason. I felt like I had to be a brother figure to him sense he had just shifted only three years ago and was still getting use to his wolf. His father was a big help but when Mason's wolf showed his strength over his own father it was harder to tame the new beast. That's where I stepped in and since then I've come to like the kid.
"Yes it is, thankfully." I looked over my shoulder to see if Charlie had made it out yet but she hadn't so I turned my attention back to Mason, who was also looking into the dressing room.
"I know this may not be the time or place, but I want you to know that even though I care for Charlie and I do love her, I would never see her in that way. She is yours completely, and I promise once her world slows down she'll accept you with open arms. But I want to say," Mason's eyes flick towards me, this time dead in the eyes. He was serious. "I think something happened to Charlie."
"What do you mean?" Instantly my wolf is on high alert.
"Something happened for her to come here. It sounds like her father passed away, which would be why she moved her, but there's still something else missing. I think something happened to her father and Charlie saw. She's not right. I can feel it. She's not the same level headed, laid back girl I know." I want to ask a question and I'm almost ready to when that sweet mellifluous voice finds my ears.
"Oh hey Mason! Glad to see your face. Find anything you wanted?" Her tiny body walks right up to mine and I can almost see her body wanted to lean on me but she stays at her safe distance.
"Nope!" Mason rocks on his heels, his serious attitude vanishing. "Not today sadly. Let's get whatever you're getting and meet the others by the food court. I think it's time for food!"
...
Charlie ended up successfully getting four new outfits and Goddess knows how many Waverley and Amy got, but I am surprised that Liam didn't get anything. Maybe because he knew Kyle would kill him if he got more clothes. Liam is a slight shopaholic.
Once we arrived back to the pack everyone went their separate ways, except for Charlie and me. I pretty much had to force her to allow me to take her home and help her with getting her new clothes into her home. She was injured. I couldn't let her put any stress on herself, those wounds had to heal.
"Just set them right here, this room is a mess anyways." Charlie chuckled in embarrassment, tucking her hair behind her ears. She opened her bedroom door revealing a still empty room with a lot of boxes. I forgot she didn't own a bed yet.
"You can't keep sleeping on the couch, that's not healthy for your back. Now considering the fact you are wounded." Setting the bags down I look around the room with a displeased look on my face. She deserved more than this.
"It's fine," I could almost hear the eye roll. "I'll get a bed tomorrow, no big deal." I looked over my shoulder to see her leaning against the door frame, arms lightly holding her chest.
"Oh yeah?" I raise an eyebrow, "how is that? You'll need help. You can't move a bed in here by yourself." Shaking my head at her I move around the bags and boxes, walking right up to her. She doesn't move from her spot against the frame. I watch her eyes as I get closer. Her pupils dilating, her chest rising slightly higher as I can hear her heart rate begin to rise. She could feel the bond. I can feel her energy within me, responding to me.
"I-" She struggles to bring the thoughts into words as I continue to stalk closer to her, our toes touching, my face leaning down inches away from her. I could feel her breath on my lips. They tingled with anticipation and electricity. "Well... I guess I would need help," Charlie breathes out, her eyes locked onto me. I let her see my wolf. And she lets me see her.
I don't think we're talking about a bed anymore.
"I could help you." I mummer, making sure to lean forward just enough that our lips barley graze each other as I spoke. "Would you like my help, Charlie?" My hands reach out for her head, a light gasp escaped her lips making them bump into mine. Scrapping my nails in her hair I hear a slight purr come out of her. The atmosphere was getting thick between us and I could smell a certain aroma coming off of Charlie. The smell of arousal stirred my wolf awake.
"Yes," My skin jumps when her hands clasps my forearms, her thumps pressing into my skin. It was like she was sending pulses of electricity into my arms.
"I need you."
This time, her lips clashed into mine.
