Ruby looked at Ike with a stern expression, she was pissed. "You're -"
"No. It wasn't what it looked like..." his denial was weak.
"For Firkle?"
"You know what... I'm not going to stand here and make idiotic indications for myself. Alright, I love Firkle, and I don't necessarily regard your opinion all too much."
"What?
"I don't fucking care, Ruby! Read my lips!"
She sighed annoyed. "Ike, I'm just upset you didn't tell me... I feel stabbed in the back that I had to find out this way. I mean, we're best friends!" His anger subsided, he nodded understandingly.
"I'm sorry... It's just, I don't want others finding out... I love him, but others won't. Just don't tell anyone..." She patted him on the back roughly.
"Whatever you say, Ike!" She knew this was going to end terribly.

Fillmore had the ball. "Give me it!" Ike yelled.
The spiky-haired teen shook his head. "Fuck off Canada, I got this!" Ike sighed in disbelief. Was Fillmore really going to cost them the game just because of his stupid ego? Their plays were as old as their school and nothing compared to Fort Collins' defense. Fillmore obviously had no idea what he was doing as 'team captain.' Ike couldn't let them lose the game, he held his breath, fixed his eyes on Fillmore, and tackled him.
"WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING OUT THERE, BROFLOVSKI??? HE'S ON YOUR TEEEEEAM!" Ruby let out a tired sigh. The coach's scream could be heard from even here way up on the bleachers.
"Maybe he forgot." She offered to Karen who was biting her nails in distress. She wasn't ready to see Ike voluntarily get hurt or hurt others.
Meanwhile, the cheerleaders were giving it all they had. "We are the South Park cows! Moo moo moo! And your team's going down, down, down!" They swung their noodle arms in the air swishing their green and white pom poms.
"D.O.W.N! DOWN! South Park! WOOO!" Flora stepped forward and jumped so she was at a 90-degree angle facing her girls.
"Cheerleader role call!"
" Annie!"
"Molly!"
"Cat,"
Danyel,"
"Beth,"
"Rachel,"
"Sam!"
"And I'm South Park's cheerleading captain, Flora!"Some of the crowd was generous enough to clap, but the more sensible people like Ruby and Karen were too focused on the game.
After tackling Fillmore, Ike now had the ball and was heading for the end zone. Karen gripped Ruby's shoulders trying not to scream. He was so close.
Firkle was watching the game from under the bleachers. He would rather die than sit with Ruby and Karen after yesterday's incident. What would they say after watching Ike almost plant a kiss on him? Maybe Karen didn't know, but surely Ruby would tell her.
"GOOO IKE! Make that score! Show them, cows have so much more! GIVE ME AN S!"
"How 'bout I give you an 'l u t' with that too conformist," Firkle mumbled.
"Tell me about it." Firkle jumped in his skin. He turned around and a curly haired goth with blue highlights stared at him.
"I mean can you believe the school lets her flash us like that? Wouldn't mind it if she were a guy." His eyes dulled more but Firkle's face flushed red.
"Who the hell are you?"
He sighed shaking his head, the long curls in his head following suit. "Of course, conformists don't need to know my preferences, God, they'd be freaked if they knew there was a kid like me lurking in the shadows. Good thing they barely know I exist now. Goths are alright though."
"I asked you a question." Firkle had his knife out now. The other goth looked at it casually.
"Oh...Right, I'm Leo. The others are over there." Firkle's eyes followed his eyes and saw two more figures. One was a girl in a black lace dress with wavy black hair and green eyes, the other was a boy who looked more emo than goth. He was tall and had long straight black hair covering his left eye wearing black ripped skinny jeans and green striped socks with a black jacket.
Fitkle locked eyes with the pair of green eyes first. "that's Shera. She's got a huge conformist cru-"
"Shut up. Hey, cigarette?" She held one out for him and Firkle bit his lip. He was tempted to smoke, but he'd been nicotine free for two years. Besides, there was still the matter of Ike.
The tallest boy stared at him carefully. "I'm Fredrick. We heard a lot about you. You're a hardcore goth, but you won't even light up?" Firkle rolled his eyes at how much emphasis this kid put on his black emo haircut, with his hair in front of his left eye.
"What do you want wannabes?" He pointed the knife towards all three of them now. The wavy-haired girl, Shera scoffed.
"See, why can't you boys be more like that? Anyway, you come here to hide from the self centership of the football nazis?" Firkle didn't know how to respond. He didn't feel like finding a new goth group. He didn't want to find comfort in anyone but Ike.
"So, we were going to go to Shera's place. You can tag along if you're not too busy being a cool loner." Slowly Firkle retracted the knife back into his pocket.
"Are you fucking kidding me, you're only here because you want me to join your conformist little group. Tell me something I didn't know. "
"Okay well, Leo knows some deep dark secret of yours; 'cus he and Shera have this thing about stalking you. He won't tell us what it is, but I bet five bucks it's that you have a conformist girlfriend."
"I bet a thousand you're wrong," Leo smirked almost singing the words while he inhaled some nicotine.
"Yeah 'cus you know what the secret is, dickhole. God. I miss one fucking day of 'spying' and you find his terrible secret. Not fair." She pouted.
"You really suck at being goth." Firkle sighed. The three looked at him with solemn expressions. Emo boy opened his mouth to speak but a loud booming interrupted him.
"SOOOOUTH PARK COOOOWSS WIIIN!" The goths looked to the field. The girls were dancing, then swarmed the football team.
"WITH AN EXPONENTIAL THROW, IKE BROFLOVSKI WINS THE FIRST GAME OF THE YEAR 16-8!" Firkle stared in awe. Ike was dancing, he had that stupid goofy smile on his face. He was drenched in smudges and sweaty helmet hair, God he wanted to kiss him. He turned red, he took a step forward then stopped as the cheerleaders swarmed Ike.
Flora kissed him on the cheek, squeezing the daylights out of him. The football team swooped in next even Fillmore with a frown carried him cheering "Ike, Ike!"
He looked so happy, without him. He stopped himself from running to him. Ike threw his arms in the air as the jocks carried him. "PARTY AT MY HOUSE!" The crowd cheered. Ike bent down and whispered in Fillmore's ear. He sighed annoyed and went off.
A knight in football armor kneeled in front of Ruby, and Karen squealed. "Ike wants you two at his party."
"Who the hell are you! And why are you always bothering me! AND WHY ARE YOU SO GODDAMN FAMILIAR!"
"I am simply sir asshole Canada's servant boy. Used to be team captain, I guess I can kiss that position goodbye after today. Anyway, he also told me to find that faggy goth kid but he's not with you. Too bad, guy's going to miss one hell of a party." He got up and stepped towards Ruby; Karen was fangirling (as usual), he arched his finger back under Ruby's chin with a sly smile.
"I'm lucky you're coming." Then like most 'prince charmings' he disappeared.
Ike was talking to Flora, he hadn't even bothered looking for Firkle. He probably wanted her. Firkle wanted to be pissed, but he didn't have enough strength. He looked to the goths who watched the scene bored.
"Let's get out of here, I want coffee."
