Kevin had no idea where he was, when he tried clutching onto the floor to help himself up he felt an immediate wetness. He was on carpeting floor, God, was Shelly going to kill him. He smiled a little then laughed out loud when he realized no one was in the room. Shelly wasn't gonna touch a hair on his fucking no-brained skull. Shelly was changing, and Kevin FUCKING HATED IT. Shelly was starting to get serious about her life. Talking about good grades, university, new jobs, and even getting married? Holy fuck, Kevin didn't wanna get married! What the fuck was wrong with her? She didn't even pick random fights with him anymore. He loved coming home drunk to a steaming mad Shelly who threw vases or magazines at him since there was virtually nothing else in their small studio apartment. He loved the pain he endured because he loved her. Pain WAS love. His parents hit him, his mom definitely called him every name in the book. Maybe Shelly was falling out of love with him. He sighed, now she had that dumb job at the high school he flunked, probably got to see his annoying little sister every day.
He smacked himself in the face. No, he couldn't think of Shelly, if he missed her he'd want to go home, and what was the use of going to a town that didn't love you? Besides he was always finding ways to get into trouble over there. A small laugh left him, he found trouble wherever he went, he was a McCormick and if being here confused and dazed wasn't troubling than what was? He sighed and finally looked around. He was at a strip club, an eerily quiet one.
Might as well get up now. He took a deep breath and pushed himself up. He cringed at a sharp pain in his calf. He looked down and saw a huge piece of glass hanging out of his thigh. Suddenly he felt woozy. Why was there glass in him? What had he been doing this last week? He looked around again. The strip joint was vacant, tossed chairs, flipped tables, his eyes stopped at the bar, a bullet hole loomed over a portrait of the manager. He scanned the room again, blood splatter on tabletops, broken glass on carpeting, and a dead body rotting just across the room. What the hell? He felt cold and sticky of beer. What had he done? Fuck.
He didn't get to see her, but he felt her standing behind him. If he looked up no doubt he could see up her skirt. The crushing blow came barreling down on his skull.
"Down you go, cowboy."
His body fell with a thud as he fell into sweet unconsciousness. The stripper looking calmly at him. A soft sigh escaped her mouth as she pinched his cheeks. "Too bad, you were really cute." Sirens blared in the distance. "Crap. Gotta go. They'll come pick you up later."
"Flyer." Ike handed one to a stranger who smiled back, thanking him for the crudely drawn piece of paper with Kevin's face and big blocky letters 'missing'. Karen watched wishing strangers were nice to her like that. When she handed them flyers they didn't even look at her, they grabbed it then crumbled it throwing it on the floor as they walked away. As if not looking at her wasn't bad enough they were littering! It made her want to cry. She supposed it was because Ike was the football captain and a Broflavski, they were more respected than the McCormicks.
"Fly-"
"Karen?" She looked up and the gloomy figure gave her a microscopic sweet smile, the hair covering his left eye. She jumped up almost squealing. She didn't know why she did what happened next.
"FREDRICK!" She tackled him in a hug wrapping her arms tightly around him and he staggered back with a small blush. Ike laughed.
"Wow, Karen. You never hug me like that." She opened her eyes realizing that people were watching her. She let go and took a step back. That's when she realized his whole gang minus Firkle were standing there unamused.
"This conformist is a friend of yours too, Fredrick?" The girl said smoking a cigarette.
"Oh yeah, she's Firkle's friend too right? Uh, what's your name?" Leo said sounding a bit irritated and bored.
