Yes, I'm adding more characters for titles. ^.^

"Fuck you too!" The goth's middle finger was still up and directed towards his home when a certain smiley cousin of his appeared. "Ready, Freddy? Get it! 'Cus your name is..." his icy glare cut off Leo's sentence.

"Okay. Someone's grumpy." He faced forward and tried to whistle but found his lips dry. "We taking the bus or walking?" He shrugged in response.

"Shera tried driving her mom's car to give us a ride but she crashed it into her garage trying to get onto the street. She's grounded, I think I'll go visit her I'm not in the mood for school today."

Leo's smile went slack. "Wait! What about Ms. Boobies' 1800 word essay? Want me to turn it in for you?" A sigh escaped his lips.

"Look, I get it. You still give a shit about school. But get this through your thick skull, Leo. I don't give a rat's ass. Later!"

He shrugged a little. "God. I will never understand why guys like girls."

"And then we kissed and that was it." Ruby rolled her eyes.

"Ike, that is NOT talking things through." A gruff sigh left her best friend.

"He said he didn't want to talk! Did I mess up?"

"Boys are so incredibly stupid. Of course, he WANTED to talk. He just wanted YOU to start the conversation! What else happened?"

"I told him he was perfect, is that wrong too?"

"More details Ike! Give me something specific you talked about." He thought for a while until it finally came to him.

"Faith... he said, what's there to believe in if not you. So what?"

"Oh, so you did talk about Flora!" Ike pinched his forehead (a characteristic he mimicked from Kyle) in frustration.

"No, we didn't."

"He wants to have faith in you. He wants you to stop fucking up." Ruby laughed at Ike's awe moment. He smiled and nodded.

"Okay, that makes sense... but, what if I do mess up?"

Ruby shrugged. "That's a question for Firkle. I honestly think I'll know you more than I'll ever know Firkle, maybe Karen could help you, she spent a whole day at his house once." He straightened up.

"She what?"

"Your first break up of the year. Rumor has it she just stood there awkwardly staring at his nail polish."

"I've only ever even been in his room twice! Ugh, why am I barely finding about this now?"

She shrugged again."You two obviously have a communication problem."

He slid the window open careful not to lose his footing. Falling two stories would definitely break something. He grabbed the windowsill with one hand and pulled himself into the room. He landed with a crash and she screamed. "Fredrick! What the hell! At least call before you sneak into my bedroom, what if I was naked?" He smiled rubbing his aching side, he'd fallen pretty rough and twisted his body wrong.

"Well, you got your phone taken away so I couldn't call. And if you were naked, I'd be a little more excited to see you." A slanted smile was the best he could manage, she grinned wide.

"So why the sudden visit?"Fredrick bit his fingernail nervously.

"You know I'm in love with you... Right? It's pretty obvious." Her face didn't burn red like he hoped she didn't even smile. All she did was scoot over to the right on her bed to make room for him.

"Fredrick, you know I love you." His heart skipped a beat. "But I don't think we'll ever be more than friends." His smile fell.

"Uh, what?" She grabbed his hands but he pulled roughly away. "Is it because you like Firkle because I think we both know he's-"

"It's not because of Firkle. I'll admit I was really disappointed when I figured out he liked dicks but it's not because of Firkle..." Fredrick moved the bangs out of his eyes only to have them obscure his view the moment his hand left them, he couldn't handle this.

"That's bull shit."

"I don't think I'm ready for a relationship right now... Besides, I think you deserve a lot better." His eyes dulled at her futile attempts to let him down easily.

"If you really meant that we'd be making out instead of you sorting through your book thousands of reasons to reject Fredrick." She puffed out her cheeks annoyed and laid her head on his shoulder, which was a little difficult because he was so much taller.

"Fredrick... The only reason I dress like a fucking clown in depression is to fit in with you and Leo. I used to do it to try to sway Firkle. I met him when Leo and I were playing soccer... Now I just do it because you guys are my only friends. You're goth because you sincerely feel like everything sucks." It was hard not to look at her, but if he did, he knew everything would spill out. He couldn't let it, he wouldn't cry, not in front of the girl he loved.

"Fredrick, you're my best friend... Leo kinda pisses me off, but I care about you two. I want you to be happy. I'm only gonna make you depressed. You need someone who makes you smile, someone who doesn't give up on you. I'm not her. I'm sorry." He clenched his jaw. He wasn't going to cry, no. She pulled him into a hug patting his back.

"I'm sorry..."
